I made it to 8-4 shortly after Dan did. It's just that I was using the NES version, so I only had 3 lives per continue while everyone else was using All-stars, so they had 5 lives per continue. I died to the last hammer brother before Bowser and never made it back to 8-4 before just giving up a few continues later.

 

This doesn't bode well for my Super Mario Bros 3 race performance, but oh well.

They're setting up for that now.  You guys better jump in quick XD.  I personally believe, says Miss South Carolina, that the thread should be posted in an hour or so before a race is decided to happen, improvisation or not~

We're setting up for SMB3 right now.  If you guys want in the race, PM me with your Skype name and I'll add you to the group.

 

Most race coordination and setup happens in the race group, so if you want to join impromptu races and hop in races as they're being set up, you might want to hang out there.

meh I'd join but my SMB3 cart is one of those that works for about 5 minutes and then gets weird graphical glitches and crashes lol

SMB3 finished. I will never not forfeit an SMB3 race for as long as I join them.

Anyway, I believe this is right? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. (Sydarial might've been ahead of Dan.)

It's not official or set in stone by any means, but some people have been throwing around the idea of doing an ALTTP race. Because I have miles more experience than everyone else, I'd probably handicap myself somehow if I joined (possibly by doing Low% No Damage while everyone else does regular Any%)... or I could just watch. I think watching would almost be more interesting for me.
