Find the big bridges (they are fixed now) in the northeast part of the overworld. If you find a dead end, try something...

- Please can anyone pm me with the solution to get the key on the first floor. I have the map, compass and the blue candle but I'm walking in circles trying to find the right hole to fall thru. it's getting hard to hold a joystick for too long. I've been in the hospital since the beginning of the week and played only a little of this until tonight. Having MS sucks!! BTW Jamian I wish the regular shield was available cause I've died too many times courtesy of fireballs.
- Thanks in advance

While replaying Level 5 (thanks Jamian) I was so lucky and got the soul of a gohma. Now, aren't gohmas vanished forever after they are dead? Would it be possible to permanently miss a gohmas soul after I killed all of them in the quest? And what about patras and digdoggers etc. I assume they have their own souls as well?
Just asking ![]()

All of the bosses and some rare enemies can be found in caves scattered throughout the overworld where they always return. Some of them are deviously well hidden, though. There's no actual reward for finding all the souls, but good luck if you want to try it. It's a real trial in both patience and exploration.

Thanks Moosh for letting me know about this! I think I once found one of those respawnable rare enemies. I'm trying to pull off a 100% run, who knows maybe I'll eventually do it. ![]()
Is it possible to get Red Mail? That witch has killed me 170(!) times, thaks for total unpredictability and lack of any patterns to figure out!
Have you found all the cartoprapher's treasure locations? I could imagine that one of them has the red mail, but I'm just guessing.

Yes. All of them. Also found all heart containers. And found unmarked bombable cave with joke shop near level 7.

For the final boss, I would recommend:

Did you find the upgrade that gives you a max of 50 arrows? That can really help you out in the final battle because you don't need to worry as much about saving them for the end.
Anyways, here's some tips:
-Obviously the arrows and sword beams are the best way to damage her
-You can also boomerang her magic back at her during the first phase pretty easily
-When she shoots the four way laser, only attack when she moves towards you to avoid getting hit
-In her final phase if you get yourself cornered and there's simply no way to escape, try using the hookshot's invincibility frames to take fewer hits
-If you run out of potions and health, you can dig up the arena's floor for hearts
Edit: Yeah, Jamian posted 7 minutes before me. What of it? :tard:

Where can I find level 5? Got a key in a cavern, and found both parts of the broken tablet, but beyond that, I got no something...

Finished! Every point in strategy really helped me, including hookshot thingy in black shield phase and a few dug up hearts during laser phase. At first, I thought only sword can hurt witch...
This quest pulls off almost everything best from mix of Classic and EZGBZ tilesets. Near perfect dungeon design and interesting gimmicks. On the other side bosses oftentimes turn out to be luck-based ones, mostly due to random semi-danmaku unblockable projectile spam (true danmaku attacks are always fully deterministic with no RNG involved).
6 Skulls/4 Puzzle pieces
P.S. Actually the real death count is 29. The other ones were "cut out" via F6 -> Continue or Save-Load, Fort Boyard styled
P.P.S. How powerful, in terms of damage dealt, are those epic crushers found in level 3?

Well done!
The crushing walls deal one heart of damage at the time, though you may get caught up in them and end up losing two hearts in the process. I know they look like they may be insta-death traps but they're not
(there is no insta-death in the quest)

By popular request, and after considering it carefully, level 1 has been made a bit easier. There are few changes but they were the things that grumped people the most:
- No more fireballs (though there were like only three rooms with them)
- The first room with the disappearing blocks sequence is easier to figure out
(that will be in the update that should appear on the website shortly)
Flitchard, in one of the caves with the broken tablet you should see other stairs. Try to access those. Remember what the tablet says.
