Avatar's only what, 61 episodes? Not really that long, and like others have said there's not a lot of filler (and zero clip shows). And the story is pretty fucking awesome, and my god what a finale.

No. >:{

I'll give it a shot some day. I just got my hands full.

"Admitting that he himself is wrong." - NoeL's greatest weakness :D. I'm just messing around. :P

But seriously, I'm extremely picky when it comes to anime. I DO NOT approve anime that abuse fanservice or have a generic teenage kids saving the world crap. And don't get me started with mainstream anime like Bleach and Naruto. Bleach should just be called Bleeeeh. I prefer anime with a great story, is unique in its own way, tons of action, and has very minimal to no cliches or fanservice.

22 episodes of Fruits Basket down and only 4 more to go. People say the final 2 episodes get intense.

Avatar is about kids saving the world, though they're hardly generic. The plot is simple (which I consider a strength) but the characters are really well written and fleshed out (with the exception of Ozai), which makes for a great story (in the same way The Lord of the Rings has a simple plot but a great story). It's got action in spades, no fanservice at all, and while the characters fit certain archetypes they're not cliche. There were few, if any, times I predicted where the plot was going, and how certain arcs would be resolved. And because it's American made the humour and writing was much more relatable, making it more engaging. :3

But I shouldn't be talking it up so much, because then you'll go into it with bloated expectations and be too critical.

Anyway, finished the first season of Korra last night. It was ok, but didn't really leave anywhere to go in the next season - everything got wrapped up pretty neatly. It introduced some new characters late in the game so there's room for expansion, but they kind of halted the momentum. Didn't end on a cliffhanger or anything.

Also, did anyone else feel like they were watching Batman? The 20s/30s aesthetic, the airships, the mobs, the terrorist and his army... there was even a "Batmobile" briefly.

I've never faced that dilemma, since I've never been wrong.

Originally, that was going to be the entire show, a 12 episode miniseries. Nick asked them to make Book 2 after it started airing and doing really well, then Book 3 and 4 after the first book finished airing. That's why it wrapped up so perfectly. As I understand, Book 2's going to wrap up nicely as well, while 3 and 4 are going to be a bigger, more connected story.

The last anime I want to see this season finally aired.

I'm a sucker for bishoujo crap and romance comedy, sue me, but here's the list of what I'll probably watch:

Danganronpa Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei - Murder mystery anime!

Spoiler

Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou - Decent so far, I hope it won't turn into a dog harem though. That's just creepy.
Stella Jogakuin Koutouka C3-Bu - Girls und Airguns
Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku - Funny, but so much tsukkomi.
Kiniro Mosaic - Warning: May contain trace amounts of sugar.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya - Only because it's a Fate/Spinoff.
Monogatari Series: Second Season - This never fails to be interesting.
Kami-sama no Inai Nichiyoubi - I like the idea of a god that has forsaken the world. Sounds like god got the Nicks.
Renai Lab - Funny, hope it won't become a Yuru Yuri though.
Uchouten Kazoku - Seems interesting.
Blood Lad - Just comedy.
Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaete mo Omaera ga Warui! - Not sure if want.
Choujigen Game Neptune - Still have to watch, poor European me has no Playstation, so I can't play the game.

Shingeki no Kyojin - Still going :D

That's what she said. :P What is my favorite food? :naughty:

Looks like Stein's Gate will be my next anime to watch because when I hear the words time travel and have events related to the butterfly effect, than it has the word awesome written all over it.

Well, that's just your opinion that you think of me as some guy who has OCD over Japanese media (and not having enough Michael Jackson knowledge  ). Say what you will about it but I'm not that big of a "weeaboo" as those other people who cosplay as anime characters , try to talk Japanese, or praise anything Japan throws at them. I already explained what type of animes I don't like but it gets worse. Hardcore anime fans usually make fun of me because I prefer western dubbed anime over subbed anime. And I don't read manga and they also laugh at me because of it. As for JRPGS, I like it as a game genre and not as a culture. If Western developers develop games that play like those types of games, then I'm all in on that. This ends my rant about people thinking that I'm some kind of a weeaboo.

I don't mind subbed anime, but I find the dubbed anime is a bit easier to watch. Subtitles mean that you're constantly flicking your eyes back and forth between what's going on and what they're saying, but when they're actually speaking English, you can focus on the show itself. Also, because I've been spending a lot of time recently showing my younger siblings anime from when I was younger, or stuff that I think we'd both be interested in, I've found that dubbed anime is a lot easier since I don't have to read and explain every line of dialogue in the show.

Speaking of which, I found a neat program that automatically downloads any video that I find online, as long as I run it for a couple seconds first. This is making it a TON easier to find shows that I can put on the Wii for my little siblings to watch. Right now, I'm getting a handful of episodes of "Cardcaptor Sakura" together for them to watch. They just finished "Azumanga Daioh", and this one was on a list of things that they wanted to try watching. (Also, I needed something to test the program with before getting started on a big one for my little sister. She wants to watch One Piece, and has only gotten to episode 91. That's a lot of episodes to record...)

I'm not sure why, but I started watching Speed Racer today. Having never watched it when it first came out, this is amusing to see now. XD Just finished episode 4.

That sounds like a risky program o_O

Just watched episode 2 of... ahum... Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui! (Or just Watamote)

I wasn't sure if I would keep watching this, but after this episode I think I'll stay with it a bit longer. It's quite an interesting and somewhat dark comedy, I can imagine people finding themselves back in.

DAMN IT DAN YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING CLANNAD—

Er I mean Speed Racer probably is really hysterical to look at how dated and awful the animation was in the past, though I have a feeling I wouldn't be able to last long through the show itself. Seems like it'd be another one of those "So bad it's good... for a little bit" kinds of shows.

So I started watching Clannad as I mentioned I would, and got to episode 9 before I had to stop. Wow.

Spoiler

EDIT:

Finished Clannad's first season, and am now watching Clannad - After Story. 10 episodes in so far.

EDIT:

Done After Story now. I'll probably go back to Speed Racer next. ._.

I'm really disappointed with Danganronpa now. Going to play though the game before finishing the anime.

Also nothing is safe

Going through Spice and Wolf II. (I finished Season 1 before I started to watch Fruits Basket) I guess in this season, Lawrence and Holo will have a deeper relationship compared to Season 1. I wonder what makes people who watched this say that they demand a Spice and Wolf III?

Finally completed all of Clannad, pretty good series if not a bit confusing in some elements. Wouldn't call it one of my top animes but it was a good surprise considering its genre, with good writing and funny situations as well as legitimate tearjerker moments.

So based on the recommendation of the friend who recommended Clannad, I'm trying out Kanon. Gotta say, outside of two characters, I'm just not finding it very interesting throughout four episodes. Maybe things will change, who knows. And this time I did the Japanese version, for fear of another cast of bad English actors. :heh:
