You know, I'd probably try making a pony music video if 1) I had the episodes downloaded and ready to rip clips from and 2) I could think of something that would fit with it. Apparently I don't listen to any music or watch trailers that go well with ponies. This is a clear indication that I need to listen to better, more pony-appropriate music.
Also I realized the other day that you can basically pinpoint the exact moment I watched MLP for the first time because suddenly every video in my YouTube favorites list and every image in my picture folder becomes pony-related. Literally after the first pony video/image, every single one thereafter contains ponies. It's kind of eerie, actually.

It doesn't need to be pony-appropriate. People make Minecraft and Team Fortress parody videos. They write Fallout and God of War crossover fanfics. If any of these are pony-appropriate, please explain.
Seriously, all you need to do is take something that's popular, but also genuinely awesome, and make a parody. Now, not having the episodes downloaded is a completely different issue, but I don't think I'll cover that here.

On the other hand, hope rides ALOOOOoooOOooOoOOoONnNEee set to a Sonic Rainboom? How could I not give this gift to the world?
There's also Stargate trailers, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who would appreciate them. That, and they still wouldn't fit well.

WANT!
Seriously. Do it. I did an edit of Twilight's flip-out magic scene from ep. 23 using Mewtwo's theme from Pokemon: The First Movie. I think you can do Stargate trailers.
Wait, hang on, are you talking about the James Spader 'Stargate', or the TV series?
EDIT: I've been doing some research on the old MLP series, and I kind of flipped out when I found this out, but apparently Tabitha St. Germain is a veteran MLP voice actor. Prior to voicing Rarity, she voiced Minty, Scootaloo and Wysteria in the 2003 series. And now she's voicing Rarity AND Luna? Wow.
I also discovered that in the 2003 series, Scootaloo and Cheerilee were sisters, which makes sense given the similarity of their names, but at the same time it makes no sense because in FiM, Cheerilee is Scootaloo's teacher. I mean seriously...what?

I think I'm going to rewatch the entire series, but this time with YouTub's auto-closed captioning generator on. I feel that you haven't truly lived until you hear Twilight Sparkle ask Spike "Did you grab my crotch?" (Seriously. About 30 seconds in to "Owl's Well That Ends Well.)
...
And then I said, "Oatmeal? Are you crazy?"

You're in luck, season 2 debuts this fall (animation won't be complete until December, but like most cartoons, they're airing the early episodes while still working on the later ones to keep the schedule moving).
Also, I just gave the G1 a try, specifically "The Movie" and "Rescue from Midnight Castle". I watched "The Movie" first because it started out the story, and it was okay-ish, but then I watched "Rescue from Midnight Castle", and that, on the other hand...Oh my god. Considering what I was expecting, that was...kind of dark and depressing. And sort of awesome, in its 'cheesy kid's cartoon' kind of way...

The Good:
- Fantastic animation.
- Pinkie Pie is the greatest thing ever.
The Bad:
- Stereotypical characters.
- Cliche plots.
- BASTARDISATION OF, AND DISRESPECT FOR, SCEPTICISM! >:{
All round, it was entertaining, but doesn't deserve the hype it's garnered. Besides Pinkie Pie and that memorable scene with Fluttershy in the last episode, there was nothing spectacular in terms of narrative.
