I'm rediscovering that fun myself. icon_biggrin.gif

Finished a bit more of Mount Sinclair today. It's one of the bigger areas in my quest, and one of the later ones, but I'm working on it now since I'm just mapping stuff out as per to my hand-drawn map from the top left to the bottom right. Funny enough, it means that the last area I create will be among the first major areas the player will be visiting. XD

Wait, you're making a quest? icon_biggrin.gif Sweet!

Today, I just downloaded some Wind Waker looking tiles for my quest. They're AMAZING and fit nicely!

Started on a mini dungeon in my quest. It's a cavern that was previously inhabited by a group of Zoras, but all the water drained out, forcing them to leave; I tried to let on that it was previously Zora's Domain, but I doubt many people will get that. It's not very big; I only plan on it being 8 screens total. The reason you're in there is to get a pair of Zora's Flippers that were left there so you can get to Lake Hylia. It introduces you to enemies harder than Red Octorocks, Blue Octorocks, and Red Moblins. Heck, the second enemy you encounter in it is a Goryia!

Sounds sweet! It's nice you're putting so much thought into your quest. Once again, I can't wait! icon_smile.gif
And Flippers are fun :3

what I accomplished today was a movable platform block puzzle.
so basically you go on a platform that moves around the room and try to solve a block puzzle.
don't fall off because it is a bottomless pit of doom. icon_biggrin.gif thanks to Schwa and his platform script icon_smile.gif

Gosh that sounds hard >_<. Anyways, I've finished a rough draft of my game's first village and offically made my first screen. No spoilers for now you'll have to wait for my video preview (showing a cutscene semi plot related.).

Managed to finish two fifths of the over-world for a small quest I'm working on. It's a not-really-but-sort-of-sequel to 'I Made A Quest When I Could Have Been Studying'. It's going to be of similar size (a little bigger over-world, but still 5 dungeons, but I may add a bonus dungeon) but not obsessive about fireballs. I've got some other ideas and I do intend to experiment a lot with some stuff like I did with IMAQWICHBS.

Being made with the new BS set. I'm having a lot of fun with that set. :3

EDIT: A day later and I finished the entire over world. It's a 5x5 block. so it's bigger than what I made last time, even if only by a bit. Now for the fun part; dungeons. :3

Made about 40% of my overworld today, along with two dungeons, and finished up some massive bug fixing. I call that good progress. It's nice to be back with ZC after a full two years XD

Fixed my 'burnable grass' script so it stops burning snow. To top that, enemies that shoot fire (actual fire, not bubbles) now burn the grass, too.
Added a truly spectacular Garo script by Saffith, to replace my non-functional one.
Completed another dungeon, including less linear layout and more obvious (but still devious) puzzles. Could use polish, but the base is done.
Started working on a snow-and-ice inspired Dungeon, including the improved ice block script for some great puzzles.
Began devising a new subscreen, to see if I can get a unique feel out of it.

Created new passive subscreen for Zero Quest DX

IPB Image

Also, widened a river to prevent passage. (Overworld should open more as items are collected)

(Almost) finished with my active subscreen- now integrating a new passive subscreen to match (pics likely to follow later tonight). Added two new tree types to the quest (which means creative editing of many overworld screens). Implemented a new use for Quake Hammer/Super Quake/Pegasus Boots- when a 'quake' effect occurs on a screen with a certain tree, and Link is right next to the tree (because he hit it with the quake hammer/super quake or ran into it with the pegasus boots), something falls out- sometimes rupees, sometimes a heart, sometimes an enemy. Once in a great while, a copper skulltula (after you collect 15 of those, you don't get any more).
Silver skulltulas are found in the same way, but are in four specific locations on the OW map(s), are naturally invisible, and don't come back once you catch them.
Still deciding where to put the Skulltula house/Gold Skulltula boss. Which is okay, because I haven't scripted him yet. In fact, I 'm dawdling, because I don't really know how to properly do this.
This will complete the bug-hunting portion of my quest- copper, silver, and gold tektitula (dig for them); copper, silver, and gold mothula (loves flames and hates certain sounds); and copper, silver, and gold skulltula (hammer and running into stuff). Fun fun fun.
Also, in my reorganizing of the subscreen, I have room for three more usable items. I'll be hunting for things to shove into those slots next.
