So, I've been through the underwater passage with the ladder to what I thought would be the real level 2 to find that it's not - just got some bombs and then tried them on the walls of the u/w passage on the way back to no avail. What should I do now, pls, to get to the 2nd part of level 2 and the flippers? This is extraordinarily frustrating.

Yes, it is extremely frustrating.
If you are in the right Underwater Cavern, a ton of Dodongos and wood bridges,
then you need to go as far east as you can go. That is where you'll find part 2 of Level 2.

That is where your at! You know where the entrance to the Ice Temple was on the screen to the left. Bomb there. You will notice the the layout is the same.

Do you get to the Desert Temple by whistle warping to the Desert Oasis or some other way? I'm here at the oasis but can't get this tree to disappear, as the lens indicates it should.

Have you beaten level 3 ? - If so, use the lens where you are standing and look north

The warp is in the desert, west of level 5. You need to open a passage with the wand.

I got the gold ring in Ganon´s Castle. Have you found the master sword and Din´s Fire ?

Where did you find the Gold Ring at? Haven't found the Master Sword or the Din's Fire. I haven't gone to look for that cave yet.
