I love how before the actual footage they had the guy say there was absolutely no videoing or anything of the sort allowed. I teehee'd.

From what I could see, it looked cool. I wish we could get a better quality video of it, but it looks decent. I'm a bit sad they changed the intro around. I'm a nostalgia junkie, so I'd have loved to see the original thing redone in all super duper 3-D awesomeness.

Somewhere in that video I think that's a screenshot of the Water Temple with.... The Hookshot on the B button?!

Not sure how that's shocking. It's a totally new system, and the game is probably designed and programmed from the ground up, so they'd quite likely want to change around some of the button functions to fit the new system.

I can't say I'd be terribly happy if they used the same item-changing system as Twilight Princess Wii, though.

Eh... the one showing Link swimming in the Water Temple is a fake. I mean, look at it. XD It's painfully obvious. The 3DS has good graphics, but that looks like a painting, more or less... I can promise you, that is not a real screenshot.

Yeah, I mean, remember when Zelda came to the Cube (not just wind waker, but also collector's edition with the OoT/MM ports) and Z-Target became L-Target? (yet somehow, C-Left, C-Right and C-down didn't become X, Y, and Z except on Wind Waker)

I can't promise you like he can, but I utterly agree. No way that's a real image. Besides, I just now caught something: Notice how the top of Link's shield seems to be pointing more to the right than the left? That basically does it right there. Link is left-handed in OoT, and the shield's top points towards the left when facing him from behind, not the right. Just look at the other images in there; you can plainly see the Master Sword above Link's left shoulder.

Besides, that image looks too crappy for words anyway. icon_blah.gif

Somehow, I get the feeling this remake is going to make me like OoT (I'm not going to say "like OoT again", but alright, I'll admit, it's got some pretty fun boss battles).

Indeeeeeeed. I'd die a little on the inside if that was actually of the game. Which it isn't. So no dying on the inside will be done.

Bit of an update. Only four pics there and not that much info, but it's a little something. The touch screen layout looks promising.

Something tells me that aiming with a bow/slingshot will be awkward.

Hyrule Field, looking as barren as ever. Not entirely sure if I like how young Link looks, but it's okay. And damn, Navi's back.

I do like the layout of the touch screen. But where's the magic meter supposed to go...

Hmm that's an interesting point, I wonder if they will-- Now that I think of it, when was the last time a magic meter was in Zelda?

I wonder if they'll use the same sounds and music as the original OoT.

OoT is a classic. I don't think they'd go as far as to remove the magic meter. That would also pretty much render the Great Fairy useless. Most of the things she does deal with the magic meter, or items that use it. I don't think--or at least I hope--that Nintendo isn't that stupid.

As far as music goes, I'd expect they'll remix the old music but meh. Who can really say?

Well, Super Mario 64 DS upped the graphical quality but retained the same soundtrack. I guess the difference is that OoT 3D is being remade on a much more powerful system than the DS, so they might attempt some remixes. Or heck, go orchestrated. Though personally, I'm holding out for the original music to be kept. Maybe some touching up in small areas, but nothing drastic.
