Didn't God already promise us via a rainbow covenant that he'd never destroy the world with a flood? O.o

I do know that there will very likely be Solar Flairs in mid-2012 though. Were such a thing to happen, it'll do a massive amount of damage to our electricity grid. Time to stock up. Buy a shotgun, maybe.

On a more personal note, I'm waiting for two things that might happen in mid-March. Several different people divined via tarot cards (Which I should note, I do NOT trust at ALL.) that another part of <entity you won't believe in> will fall, which I'm excited about. Another thing that has been spoken of by some people is a numerology stint involving the number 144,000, but I've completely forgotten the details about it, so I may as well stop talking about it right now. icon_shrug.gif But what will result from that, is a few kinds of people being taken away for a short while, then being returned. I dunno what the hell it means, ... I just have a very diverse group of people to hear things from. For the most part, no matter the background of their beliefs, stuff matches. I only pick the stuff that matches to talk about, if I do.

I don't really know but I heard of it because Judgement Day should be on May 21, 2011. If not, then mabye somebody must be lying to me on Youtube.

Ooo, the end of the world ...Forgive me if these are already mentioned:

#20) The Earth's core begins to cool and its internal dynamo ceases.
#19) The universe expires from the big crunch, big expansion, etc.
#18) The Earth is knocked out of orbit by unexplained forces and crashes into the sun or leaves the solar system.
#17) Teleportation is discovered and we accidentally teleport Earth to the outer fringes of the solar system.
#16) The sun explodes into a Nova incinerating the inner solar system.
#15) A Gamma Ray burst is fired from the poles of a nearby black hole and then ...
#14) The black hole consumes the entire solar system.
#13) My weather experiments deplete the ozone layer and the sun microwaves the planet.
#12) The milky way galaxy and the Andromeda galaxy collide.
#11) A 100 km asteroid / comet crashes into the planet.
#10) A near by planet's gravitational tidal pull rotates the planet's axis so the equator now runs across the poles.
#9) A super volcano blocks out the sun light and freezes the planet, "Nuclear Winter"
#icon_cool.gif Nuclear warfare leads to nuclear winter. (A smiley appeared here. What gives? I didn't click on a smiley)
#7) God goes back on his promise and floods the planet again for 40 days and 40 nights.
#6) An EF 5 tornado or Catagory 5 hurricane slams into several nuclear power plants which then spew radioactive materials into the atmosphere.
#5) Y3K (Y2K was a hoax, you humans wont be so lucky next time. Mwuahahaha!)
#4) Aliens actually think Earth is worth invading.
#3) Humans begin to evolve into furries and furries prey on humans.
#2) Extreme Corona Mass Ejection weakens the Earth's magnetosphere and we become vulnerable to cosmic & solar radiation.
#1) Hackers break into the PureZC server and wipe out my account.

According to the Bible, after the flood, God put a rainbow in the sky, as a covenant that he would never use water to destroy the world again. It's not like that covenant disappeared or something; it's the very reason baptism is done with water. Plus, if there's one thing I've learned from YouTube, it's that you should never, ever trust people there to be intelligent, and know what they're talking about.

As for the end of the world... There's far too many possibilities involving how, and people have been saying that the end of the world is near since the beginning of humanity's existence. Which is a pretty long time. So I don't worry too much about the apocalypse.

I find that offensive to furries, including yourself being one. Also, you should stop pretending to be a n00b (if you already have).

I watched a documentry on ten theroies on how to destroy the earth a while ago. Some of theroies include:

Strange matter (from the centers of neutron stars) converts the earth into a big ball of slime.

Another universe somehow collides with this universe, destroying everything inside both of them.

There's one major incredibly obscure reason why I haven't said the same thing already, though of course it should be very obvious that it was made in jest, unless it goes hand in hand with the reason I'm thinking of, though it's not widely known.

Eh, close enough to one theory of mine. I'll summarize it, since it's a bit lengthy. There are those who work with energy and the otherworldly who believe that the Veil between ... planes, for lack of a better, more acceptable term, is falling, which will lead to the lack of separation of this world and the spiritual world, which will allow things like spirits and angels and demons to be present here, and magic will return.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as skeptic as the next person, but I wouldn't even have bothered to mention it at all if I didn't think there was at least some credibility to it, however unlikely, due to some ... ... how do I put this ... ... personal findings on my part and the part of those close to me, that I find it more difficult to deny.

Ultimately, the first paragraph and the last within this post, are eerily related. And yes, it bothers me that I want to talk about it but I shouldn't because it's insane to most people but not everyone.

So I won't.

Revelation talks about baptism by fire somewhere. I would think that means some sort of nuclear holocaust or solar flare. Whatever it is, it would be the breaking of the sixth seal. And referring to the sea of glass somewhere else, this fiery anomaly will crystallize the earth. Anyone not under protection by God will die. (This is a watered down version of my actual theory, with all the Mormon doctrine left out.)

I honestly doubt it will be in 2012. Anything that happens then will be caused by all the chaos of people worrying about the world ending. Ironically enough, this would probably improve the economy. With a huge burst of suicides, coffin sales and funeral services would shoot through the roof.

Well most theories are from colliding or new north and south poles.

2012 has been used too many times like the time in 2000 when everybody was doing a countdown on the world ending (not many people know about the countdown). I think they might do it again, but for 2012 (It may be after the London olympics).

Well, the "Planet X" (Nibiru) thing I don't believe is real, because of a series of images that were mistranslated and misrepresented by the Sumerians. Here's a video explaining it, about halfway through it. It's mostly based on opinion though.

Also, the beliefs say that Nibiru is very close to us. If that were true, we'd be able to see it via the naked eye. There is a definite lack of evidence for it.

The flipping of the North/South poles does occur, but -very- slowly, and far from instantaneously. There's no real danger from that.

This is probably the most credible thing that's been discussed in this thread, but it's hard to get reliable information with all of the pseudo-science you find on the internet. Basically solar activity is supposed to reach some kind of peak in 2012-2013 but it's unlikely if it will be bad enough to knock out power for an extended period of time.

As for the world ending, I don't buy it... it's been predicted time and time again and theories just don't hold water when examined scientifically.

I definitely believe that the world will someday fall, but I agree that the predictions are most of the time just guesses.

As for predictions myself: I have none. Too much changes everyday for us simple humans to be able to predict the end of the world. If you ask me, I'd say that we humans could destroy this Earth without any outside help. Who needs a meteorite when we have nukes? icon_biggrin.gif

This video is one of my sources, though keep in mind, ... well, ... it's FOX news. icon_blah.gif Then again, it's Michio Kaku, one of the world's leading experts in the matter.

I can't imagine any 2012 debunking video -not- saying that the world won't end. At this point, saying that the Mayan calender ending implies the earth ending is just dumb. It's like saying an alarm clock running out of batteries means time will stop.

So if a black hole comes close to our Milky Way (not including our supermassive one) the black hole would change orbits of the solar system if came even closer. They did say that soon when Nibiru comes the orbit of our Earth will be more further to the Sun and shifted inwards. If this is true or anything then mabye very soon we will be able to see Nibiru during the day or night and you can see a great red ball of fire.

Edit: Judgement Day was fake. I waited yesterday until 6:00pm. Nothing happened. I feel so stupid now.
