I guess. But I still say it would make more sense for the water to slowly recede. After all, the water came from somewhere, and it will have to go somewhere eventually. Plus, even Death Mountain only made a fairly good sized island (Dragon Roost), and Death Mountain was huge. Imagine how large of a mountain it would have to be to make an island the size of the map shown in the trailer.
Maybe the water is slowing receding, but it hasn't completely receded yet.

Oh well. The rest of the game seems to take advantage of some cool features, like that Berserker. As for the whip, the first thing I thought when I saw it used to cross a gap was "Grapple Hook," so looks like we're getting that weapon back in a new form.

I still don't like the train...

Nobody likes the train.
And the whip reminded me of Indiana Jones. Great. Zelda is ripping off 2 series: Indiana Jones and Thomas the Tank Engine.

The phantom concept I can see going long ways. The train? I can see it going long ways, but only in the distance it covers.

Well, since Ganondorf dies in Wind Waker, it would make sense that, if another hundred years were to pass, the Great Sea would dry up. Since the flooding was called the Great Flood, would this be the Great Drought?
I'm happy, this doesn't mess up my timeline theory at all if it comes 100 years after Wind Waker. But now I need to worry about a new arc that may come around because of this new Zelda sequence. And then the new Wii game, lord knows what that'll do to my timeline, dammit.
