Okay, wandering lost. Sorry for asking so many questions, I'm a new mother and still have a job (thank goodness for hubby and neighbors to take care of kid), and I'm still trying to find time to slowly work through your quest. So forgive my impatience and inability to try and solve things out on my own as much. Sometimes I have very little time to play and I don't want to spend half of it trying to figure things out and ultimately getting nowhere in my time spent playing.

Surprised you can still see straight enough to play the game with a new baby and a job icon_smile.gif

This is a tough game! It might be somewhat less frustrating to just use cheats rather than having to wait for help each time you're stuck.

Other than the last image, I haven't seen ANY of those rooms! LOL Guess I have to wander some more.

Look where the rooms are on the map and try to use your map to guide you. Also important to note whether it's in green or orange.

Well still lost again, I got my third key. Solved the puzzle in that mirror room only to reveal a golden chest that I can't open. There is also a big gold/red chest upstairs on the far right that I also can't open either. And I'm just going in circles still. Help?

@ dfw:

here's how to open the chest in the upper-right, which is what you need to do next.

start from the beginning of level 5.
move 1 screen left, 2 screens up, 1 screen left, 1 screen down, 1 screen left. go through the underground passage.
emerge from passage. move 1 screen right. go downstairs. go 1 screen down. change tree color. now you can walk 1 screen left, then 2 screens down, then 1 screen right. go up the stairs. move 1 screen right then 1 screen up. you will see another big chest (this has a hcp which you can come back to later on). move left, up, left, up, and then 2 screens left. you will find some stairs. go down, and the rest should be straightforward.

Akkabus, your directions got me nowhere. Took me to a dead end with a lit torch opening that chest with the third key that I just obtained. I have to say level 5 is the most frustrating dungeon I've encountered in any Zelda quest. This is no longer being fun anymore.

In the mirror room after you've exposed the gold box you can use a key on it to unlock it/turn it into a normal box to get the boss key.

@ dfw:

sorry to hear. maybe try what schoochie said. i thought you needed to get that third key, but if you have it already, you should be able to unlock the boss key in the mirror room with no problem.

After a long hiatus, I've started up level 6 again. I got one key and unlocked a door in the bottom left of the dungeon. Now what? I can't seem to do anything more here. I can't kill that mirrorobe, that's for sure.

Great quest..until now. I am on Level 7. I have the fire boomerang, but not the silver arrow. I got all the keys including the master, except the one in the middle of the northern wing of the basement. As a reference, I am using the map you posted earlier in the thread. The map and the newest qst file are slightly different. I can't see how to get to the chest, walls get in the way. Do I arrive from a warp?
Much appreciated

Update: Found it. This was a great quest!

Hi, I started this quest once before, now trying it again...going in circles in level 3, can't find any help in the posts. I have the compass only. I have bombed and burned everything I can think of, and walked through as many of those wall openings as I can. I have seen the magic boomerang, but nothing else. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Zcgranny: To make sure, are you looking at all the clues that the dungeon provides when it is "off"? Certain objects have clues on them as you have seen. When you enter the dungeon you end up in the small room. Go through the only doors possible until you see a staircase. Take the staircase and it leads you to the traditional entrance. Flip the "on" switch. Every object you saw earlier that had a clue on it, like to bomb something or burn something, it will apply when the dungeon is "on" too. If you have it, use a digital camera or take screenshots of the dungeon when it is "off" so you know where and what to do when it is "on." Those clues do not appear when the dungeon is "on"
