Got to the Elite Four. Will went down fairly easily - only his Jynx gave me trouble, what with putting my Umbreon to sleep repeatedly.
Koga was a bit more annoying... but it was only at Bruno that I lost spectacularly.
All my pokes are at around level 38 or 39 at the time of writing. I guess I should go and EV train a bit.

Your team probably already has all of their EVs. Your best bet is some good, old-fashioned level grinding.

I'd suggest racking up on AP (since you can't horde BP yet) to get those Power hold items to give a great increase in a stat, such as the Power Weight increasing HP gain.

Shame that those items are only available in the Battle Frontier.
Ah well - I'll just trawl several areas with pokes that give the same EVs until my pokes don't die so easily.

Pheonix, don't give up. My team was three levels lower than yours, and I made it. Just don't give up, and think things through carefully.

Because of the way the DS is now, I've only been able to mess with bottom screen, non-touchy stuff with this, such as the Berry Pots. Right now, I have ¤169 Leppa Berries icon_razz.gif. Let's see if it can exceed 255.

The Goon Scizor Wifi Event is going on now. Based on the upcoming movie you'll get a Scizor with the Ability Swarm. For the lucky folks with a Japanese copy of the game, you can now go to Mystery Gift and get it from the network. For more info, Go to Serebii.

And as for the berries, I don't know the limit, because I have ¤333 Leppa Berries. It may very well be that the max is 999 icon_shrug.gif.

Why would you want a Scizor with Swarm?.... Tactician is 10x better. I hate when Nintendo decides to give out crap. icon_frown.gif

Technician. And it only has one attacking move. But come on. Iron Defense? Scizor's a sweeper, not a tank. icon_shrug.gif

Of course, not like they would just give out really good ones. It'd just be too easy.

I stopped playing this because I got to the second round of the Elite Four and got tired of losing. Maybe I should start playing again considering everybody else is.

You know, after hearing it on YouTube, I'm JUST NOW noticing that the Bug-Catcing Contest's music is a variation of Kanto's Cycling theme. It took an entire remake for me to notice that *facepalm*.

I think I figured that out while playing the original game, but only heard it long enough once before realizing it, since the music always reset after a battle. But I did forget about that until the remake.

Woah. In my escapades to fill the Pokédex, I traded a random level 55 Dragonite into the GTS for a Garchomp. I ended up getting a level 100 beast of a Pokémon with an awesome move set. icon_biggrin.gif

And speaking of my escapades to fill the Pokédex... Would anyone be willing to do some trading with me? Specifically, right now I'm looking for Anorith (I've got a Lileep), Kyogre (I've got a Groudon, though it has a lame nickname because it came off my Ruby version which I last played when I was 10), Latias (I've got a Latios), Gligar (I've got... whatever Gligar's SS counterpart is... Skarmory, I think?), and some of the starters (Cyndequil, Piplup, and/or Turtwig. I've got all the other starters).

Well I could let you see my Anorith, so you can get one on the GTS, but I want to keep it, but I have a Gligar for you to keep. I need someone to help me with these 3 tradelutions, up for it? I'll bump my way there (top screen still not drawing anything).
