Played a little more Prince of Persia. This game's easy to lose your way and accidentally backtrack all over the place, lol. At least it's pretty and fun to play. Should probably start using my map more though...

Just bought mahself a PS3, so I'm playing Borderlands and the Uncharted series, to see how I like them and whether or not I'll buy the sequels.
If you like the story in Borderlands, you'll love the story in Borderlands 2.

I started playing Paper Mario: Sticker Star. So far, I found that I had to be very resourceful in this game which is pretty standard in WRPGs. I actually like the sticker system to some extent. I wonder how I level up in this game. Will I be able to carry more stickers as a progress?

Yeah, you don't level up through battles, really, but you can still get more album pages and certain things that essentially "level you up". Your battle power will go up over time.

I can see that. I guess battles are more for farming/grinding coins.

With all of that said about Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It sounds like there is no real reason to fight any battles.

Probably technically true, but it's also much faster to fight battles to get coins, which you use to buy better stickers and the "things" you need to advance, than it is to farm for shiny stickers or run through a level to get "things" (at least the cheap ones).

Some enemies will yield you with really good stickers too, such as the ninja star or boomerang. And you'll want good stickers because the boss fights can be...pretty intense.

Well, I just got a litle further into the game. It's very addicting. I just LOVE the 3D effects of Paper Mario. I knew this game would look awesome in 3D. I wonder when am I going to reach the point where I might get lost as the critics say?

That's good, I really want to play Paper Mario soon. Currently I am playing Super Mario Bros. Wii U. It is good, I wish it was online though because I don't have anyone to play it with and it is a lot better with 4 players. :/

100% cleared Professor Layton and the Last Spectre. That took a lot longer than most since I had so many missed puzzles, and with good reason. Majority of them were from NPCs in other areas that I never bothered to go back to after I finished my business there. >_> I forgot just how big Last Spectre was. With the weekly puzzles, I was a little baffled that they used the final puzzle in Curious Village (or something very much like it) for it. O_o All in all, fun times though.

Next will be Miracle Mask, which I finished not terribly long ago. So it'll be fairly fresh in my head, what with where everything is and whatnot. Only a few main game puzzles, then it'll be to the mini-games and challenges. The daily puzzles will be interesting though. O:

And once I'm done with Layton (for now, since not all the daily puzzles are delivered yet) I'm not sure what I'll tackle next. ._.

So I've actually done a bit and haven't updated:

Finished Sticker Star: Overall a disappointing entry into the Paper Mario series. Better than SPM, but far short of the first two. As many others have been discussing, yes the battles are pretty pointless. Once you get a good stash of coins, just skip practically all of them. To me the special stickers some enemies drop are pointless beyond the museum. If you can abuse the Battle Spinner and use 3 stickers a turn, everything is pretty easy minus bosses. Thing stickers are also gamebreaking, but a bit tedious to collect and use at times due to the space they take up. That said, could we go back to TTYD style for the next game please? One with XP and an actual cast that aren't Toads..

Mostly finished New Super Mario Bros 2: Yeah, been playing this. I'd say the level design is a little above NSMBWii, but as this lacks the multiplayer and the soundtrack doesn't offer anything new (other than a few horribly remixed tunes), it's another disappointment. They sure don't make A+ games anymore, do they?

With that, I'm starting something that will probably be an A+. Metroid: Zero Mission. I started with the 3DS ones because my 3DS doesn't get much use and it'd be nice to have some more Streetpass stuff active. Now that I've gotten those two out of the way, I have Zero Mission and Fusion to do next.

First game of the year is Super Hexagon. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

Second is Prince of Persia. Progressing more in it and really liking it a lot. Especially the dynamic between the two main characters, they're very enjoyable. Glad I picked this game up and glad I decided to start with it over the other games in the series, although that opinion may change if they turn out to be tons better. icon_heh.gif
