Yeah this weekend i'll probley watching season 1 at a lot faster pace icon_biggrin.gif
I'll be near wifi this Saturday, XD, time for Youtube downloading :lol;

Good to hear! *hi fives* Trust me, it wasn't a easy job for me too. But if I can manage, you can. icon_smile.gif

Also watching episode 6, so far, so good. icon_smile.gif

Edit: I feel the same about Link, Jared I admire him as one of the best characters (of course, in my opinion) but I don't let the haters get the best of me by hating Link because, hey, everyone dislikes certain things.

Dude, that's a little over the top. You have to remember it's still a show. I can safely say I admire Link, and he is my hero. But, I can't say something like I like-like him, emotionally or sexually.
If you think about it, it just doesn't make sense.
But, I also love Link <333

What i mean emotionally attachment I easly get Attached To things
Like when i play A great game I get emotionally Attached to the People in the game Mother 3 I actually cried at the end of the game!
And i could not function for a few days after Beating it. Over 400-hours of playing the game I got emotionally Attached to the People in the game
I just love this show like the way i love my Video games thats all icon_smile.gif

@Shane: High five! I'm trying icon_lol.gif
And if you like fluttershy Episode 7 will pull at hearts strings

Ohh, then I can totally relate to that.
The music and the "slideshow" at the end of Ocarina of Time went together so smoothly, I cry every time I watch it.

well this has been a productive tangent, but I think we've sidetracked enough...

In other news, an EqDaily-exclusive interview with Lauren Faust was just posted. It's pretty amazing

Wondering.

It might be just me, but since I've gotten into ponies, I've been a much happier person. I'm a lot more accepting, a lot more not-caring about assholes, and, overall, a better person to be around.

Anyone else feel like this?

Oh, completely. Since I started watching this show I've started being much more accepting of the unpopular or irregular opinions of others. I've realized that nothing deserves hate; if you hate it, then it's not worth your time and you shouldn't bother expressing your hatred. Really, if you dislike something, don't talk about it. It's as simple as that, and I really wish more people would understand that.

This show is the reason I don't give a s***storm of hate to Justin Beiber fans anymore. I don't like his music, but who am I to tell other people not to like it?

But yeah, for me the whole "love and tolerance" thing rings true on a completely different level.

This thread took kind of a turn for the weird for a while there.

Not that I necessarily disapprove!

I found the part of the interview in which Faust discusses how she based the characters' personalities on the ones she gave her pony toys when she was young fascinating. First of all, this amazes me. Who wouldn't love a chance to put together a show based on the stories and characters you created during your childhood? Secondly, the original toys having little characterization, causing her to give them personalities and backstories (which to my understanding was common for girls playing with My Little Ponies back in the day) sounds very familiar - like, say, what the fanbase has done to the background ponies on this show.

Funny how that works.

I stand by what I have always said: the G5 cartoon will be created, written and directed by a brony. Someone from the fanbase who is just as dedicated as any given member of the current staff.

To give an ever so slightly more serious response to Vaelstrom --

'Let everyone do what they want so long as they're not hurting anyone else' has been a view I've held for a long time. You're not the first person I've seen that says they've come around to that (or something similar to it) because of this show. I have to admit that I'm somewhat baffled that, of all things, a cartoon has caused people to embrace a philosophy along these lines, but I can't argue with the results. I don't understand it, but it pleases me to see.

It'll be sad when, one day, Friendship is Magic reaches its end and the next iteration comes around to replace it. I'm not sure if my interest in the franchise will extend beyond Friendship is Magic, but I'll definitely give it a look, if for nothing other than curiosity.

I feel at this point I should cite the moral from Feeling Pinkie Keen.

I still highly recommend the old 80s and 90s episodes. Really, MLP has always been a pretty awesome show except for the massive failures that occurred from 2003 to 2009. Ultimately, I have faith in whatever G5 will have in store, with of course the prerequisite that G4 ends on a brilliant and mind-blowing note that is worthy of the words "Created by Lauren Faust".
