I finally found it... but it led to a path with a hammer requiring place at the end.
Then I went to the other gap place through the statue entrance and I found the lens is usable there, too... but it led to a chest requiring boss key...
This is a joke, where's the correct starting route?

Also, I love how big chests are door chests (chest doors) with the lock being a boss door...

That's good; I've been playing the old 9/23/11 update from zeldaclassic.com, and would really like to play the most recent version; preferrably to beat it before SoW2 is completed (could take me a while to beat this for all I know) so I don't get spoiled on the plot. I'm fine with spoilers, but tend to prefer not having them.

Hey everyone, been playing this quest for a week, its a phenominal game. I'm all the way up to Ganon's castle now, going to start that tomorrow. Couple of questions i had would be what version of the quest is hosted on zelda classic? That's the version i'm playing and i found these forums when doing a search when i got stuck trying to get to the desert. This is in my top 3 zelda games ever played and i honestly think its on par with the original zelda games. I am eagerly looking forward to SOW 2 and the new challenges you will throw at us.

The version on zc.com is one that was updated on 9/23/11. The most current update is 2/8/12, but for some reason, soulsofwisdom.com's download link doesn't work. Though from what I hear, Cole is working on another updated version that will be fixing the bugs that were found since that time, and should be uploaded sometime in the near future, hopefully. After all, SoW2 is probably gonna take a while and will also require a lot of work, and the poor guy's only human (I think), so....

Since I had to take down the file from 4shared.com because of their new policy. I went and found a new place to host it.

This is the last one that was update before the last couple of bugs were found. The file is dated Feb 24, 2012.

I hope you don't mind Cole. When you get the last couple of bugs fixed you can host the new file at the website of your choice.

I haven't had any issues in RC3. I was reading through the forums and know a few people have played through on RC3. I would make a backup of your save if you have one on b18.

EDIT: The bug i mentioned was fixed in the newest .qst I actually read about it when browsing through the forums trying to catching up to page 87.

The time is a bit insane, but i love to explore. Now on to the temple of cole. I already have been there once, took be about 8 minutes to get through the lost seas without the lens of truth

Also is there an easier way to get to Dins Fire than Spamming Nyru's Love and using potions? Thats the way i did it and i'm curious, because i've seen people have it earlier than that.

Grats on the main story finish, and I think you should get there faster, if you got rid of the block on the beach behind the temple that is.

As far as Din's Fire, spamming Nayru's Love and using potions is pretty much the only way across the spike beds, but once your out of magic, face the opposite way of where you want to go and let the spike damage push you backwards untill you get down to a few hearts, then use the potion. There's no boots in the game to negate or even reduce the damage from the spikes.

And as far as your time, don't worry, it took me longer than that to finish the main story, and your in for a challenge when you go into the temple. >D
