Anyway, I've been set to write a 100-150 word piece on 'annoying helpers' in video games. Seeing as Navi is cliche, and I really don't know of any other annoying helpers, I'm gonna go with Fi. However I haven't played all that much of Skyward Sword yet, so I need some help.
Basically, I just need a bunch of 'annoying' lines you can hear from her during gameplay. For example, in OoT3D, Navi would tell you to take a break every hour or so. I'm looking for stuff like that, along with hints and tips that are so obvious you wouldn't need her to tell you to begin with.
Much obliged!

Something that really bothered me was her constant usage of percentiles. And it was never a number that made sense, really. "I calculate there's an 80% chance that thing you were looking for is here, so I'll mark it on your map."
Okay.
Also, the fact she never used a contraction...Granted, she's not human, but it was just something that made her messages that much more tiring to read.
EDIT: Also, I tend to pay attention to my heart meter, but the constant beeping tends to give me a pretty good idea that my health is low if I'm not. I don't need Fi to tell me I should "rejuvenate," or whatever. But. Uhm. Oh, my. I didn't realize I found her that annoying.

What's pretty unpopular is that she tells you when your remote's battery is low (though she only does this and the message about the low hearts if you press the button to talk to her. What I find somewhat annoying was when she repeated dialogue (Mogmas in front of the Earth Temple, anyone?) or when she repeated an item discription (Bettle in Skyview Temple, anyone?). Reading these things twice is pointless.
Nothing like Navi, though, in all honesty.

Well heres some things I find annoying as all H***, "Master the battery's in the remote is depleted" "Master your health is depleted, please find some hearts to restore your health" and any line where she says, I calculate. those lines of dialog is annoying. Thats about all for me.
Edit:
um...buy a lot of useless crap like potions.

I didn't really mind the whole percentage thing. I just hate how she comes out of the sword every 10 seconds.

The biggest thing for me is when an NPC would tell you "Hey, go see xyz," and then she would pop out and say "Hey, we should go see xyz like abc just said there." And then I just have an aneurism and say "I f***ING KNOW." To me, this was Nintendo trying to cater to both veterans and newbies at the same time, and it failed hard in that regard. You basically just have one or the other.
This, too.
Also, it's not really a big thing, but it was rather odd how she'd often go into your sword after a cutscene and then immediately come back out once you were back in the playing mode.
...If that makes sense.

Also unrelated, but PLEASE, Migokalle, mention somewhere the annoying "Why not take a break" messages in Super Mario 3D land that literally pop up like every couple levels.

Also thanks folks! I probably have enough now, but I won't stop you if there's anything more

That being said, she could be amusing at times, but it doesn't really justify the rest. So much wasted potential. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go back to trying to ignore her annoying sound effect she's using to get my attention to tell me I need new batteries and more health.

I kinda like Fi's statistics talk because it was refreshing compared to all the past companions. Other than that, yes, she can really get in the way.
I find this "take a break" garbage in video games hilarious. I'll take a break when I feel like it.
