You know I should've already Done this But. Okay heres go..My dad still does not That i watch this show at all..
I don't know how to tell him at all that i'm watching it. The reason is I don't know how he'll React at all
will he be Freaked out are he'll think theres something wrong with me are will he wont care at all
The thing That i want to now is How the your guys Parents take the news?
Yeah i know i'm sounding like someone that is afraid of what his parents will say but..I'm Kinda nerves about telling him...

I feel like every time I come into this thread, I accidentally click into FurAffinity Forums by mistake. Over there, there must have been about five million "How do I come out as a furry" threads per day until the mods finally had the sense to pin a thread to the main furry discussion forum specifically made to stop said threads from appearing. You really don't need to come out as a Brony. It's really not that big a deal. Like DashSim said, it's just a show. It's not like you're coming out as a homosexual or something.

Actually... Yeah, I may as well. This is that pinned thread I was talking about. The OP is worded pretty harshly, and there's quite a bit of foul language, but I think it gets the basic idea across fairly well. Just replace "furry" with "Brony" every time you come across the word.


(Just to clarify, because I'm not sure how clearly I'm thinking right now, it being 2 in the morning and all, but I'm not trying to sound angry or pissed off or anything. Sorry if it comes across that way.)

I think the only leg up that bronies have over furries is that bronies don't say things like "brosecution". And that's really the only difference.

EDIT: Well I watched another episode for the sake of closure. Since there's no cliffhanger to bother me, I don't have as much a compulsion to watch more episodes. Don't count on me becoming a Brony. I watched the show, and it's enough. I'll watch it while babysitting girls, and that's fine.

It only gets better after episode 2. Honestly, the first two episodes are probably the weakest in the series (well, they're pretty weak anyway. Episodes 15 and 21 weren't all that great, either, but those were written by Dave Polsky, who is notorious for being a rather pathetic writer).

I remember wanting to let it go after episode 2...but my curiosity got the best of me and by episode 7 or so I was completely drawn in. Regardless of what people say, it CAN take a bit of persistence to get hooked. But the results are well worth it. Hell, the entire series is worth it just to see the following scenes in context:

It was for lack of a better term. I didn't want to come up with anything that actually worked for fear that someone might actually use it. It's bad enough that we call the trolls "parasprites".

Since watching the first episode, I've watched episode 2, 3, and just yesterday, episode 4. Yeah, its been slow progress. I'm hoping to pick up the pace, so I can get a bigger impression of what makes this series so great.

Oh and that video clip "Crazy Fluttershy Accidently The Animals". Yeah, looks pretty funny. Now I'm tempted to watch that particular episode.

I have actually never seen a furry mention 'fursecution.' I mean, I guess I know it's a thing, because I see people on the Internet who aren't furries mention it. But that's about it.

Well today I decided to watch all of the MLP:FIM episodes that i've recorded thus far Woohoo Almost 7 hours of MLP:FIM on one tape 0_0 Thats alot isn't?

Its the channel Called "Hub" On directv its on channel 294 where i live
All you have to is look up for the Hub on Whatever tv service you have And see if you the hub

Lol. I have an itch to watch more... I never would have guessed I'd be a Brony. (Interestingly enough, I got an email from TMBG with a link to a Brony vid for "Particle Man") I might have to mix in episodes of Gurren Lagann to feel secure about myself.

I will not have a Brony avatar. Ever.

My issue with watching more is that I don't really see how there's any room for more conflict.

If you can admit you watch this show, that is the ULTIMATE sign of emotional security. If you're worried people won't view you as manly, that only gives power to the shred of truth behind it.

My issue with watching more is that I don't really see how there's any room for more conflict.

There are some one-shot villains who appear, like The Great and Powerful Trixie, Gilda, and the Hydra, (and of course the upcoming antagonist, Discord) but for the most part it's about character development, just learning about who they are and why they are how they are. Episode 23 spawned SO MANY ORIGINS FANFICS it's almost not funny anymore. It was just one of those episodes that expands the realm so violently and gives rise to a crapton of questions that make the interpretation that much more fun.

It's funny; tonight, I did something very similar. I watched the Batman TAS episode "Heart of Ice," (which nearly left me literally sobbing, BTW) right before watching the MLP episode "Sonic Rainboom." Let that sink in. Batman, back-to-back with My Little Pony.
