The path ahead ain't so difficult to find, but getting the cross is nearly impossible, I used a trick I learned from watching avgn videos featuring NES games and much more. I personally like to call this trick "stupid". Its my joke at how stupid video games used to be once upon a tume. You ain't gonna get much further without the cross, but since the Temple of Cole crosses all boundaries, you just gotta accept the worse. Lol

The path ahead: Kill the magic peahats in one of the rooms with the killer fireballs. You will get a key.

Getting the cross: Return to the dead end in the north east where you found the purple rupee pass the spikes in the Ganon's Castle section. Try stepping on every tile until you find a hidden stairway. Sounds insane, right? Thank the creators of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link and many other great video games that seem to utilize this stupid idea of "hiding secrets"

Thx for the tip. I was running off of 3 hours of sleep when I made the last video so my brain was working not gud sorta like now. cause.... mmmm.... sleeep. *snore*

Anybody playing this on RC2?
I can't go north from the middle room (with the big pool of blood) in the Shadow Temple (I got everything else) because getting out of water is sometimes not possible if there's no full walkability and straightness around the place where I want to get out... so I can't get out of the water type combo into the door, since a door consists of 2 half-walkable combos...
Anybody knows how to resolve this? I hope I don't need to stop playing because version incompatibility bug...

This is definitely my 2nd favourite quest (I even mention it in the "favourite quest" section of my profile). Although graphics are basic with mostly just bare floor and wall tiles and many screens have no enemies, everything else is put together so well and the theme and feeling of the areas are so wonderful that I can't resist Souls of Wisdom.
So far Link in Cestria had the "best atmosphere" reward from me, now "Souls of Wisdom" has. There's no better level managing and light/dark world setup anywhere!!

Hm dont use RC2 for this quest , use 2.50 build 18 instead , and you can use savefile from RC2 in 2.50 build18.

I don't find a version that is called "Build 18", I searched on Shardstorm and with Google... which version is that, in "b10xx" format? (like, b1032, b1045, etc.) Or a direct download link?

Wow, I didn't expect it to work, but it did!
But now I miss the boss key after going into the that room.
I already covered the whole wolf head looking floor and the curly arrow floor above it. Got lens and many keys and used up the many keys and talked with NPCs, but no boss key.

Sorry I haven't replied earlier CastChaos!

This room has 3 floors. The demon head map is actually the first floor. On the very North-East corner you will find stairs that lead to the second floor.

PS: I have my computer back, so working on this project will not be such a hassle! Yay!!!

I only see a big pool of blood in the northeast corner... (I think I got a key from there longer ago)
I swimmed/dived everywhere in it, used lens there and in adjacent rooms, tried to walk through wall, tried to swim into blood waterfall... ...nothing.
What do I miss? O_0

HI! I just ordered (yesterday) a new computer (entertainment media center)
I want to play this quest on a decent and powerful machine
that PC will come with a GB memory video card so I could watch TV when game become bored

The northwest took me to the curly arrow floor (with the long blood river and the wind wizzrobe) where I got the lens. So that's from where I get to the missing third floor somewhere?

I'm doing another playthrough now, this time in RC3. I'm at the Shadow Temple; no problems so far.

I see the Shadow Temple has changed a bit since my last playthrough (as have some other places). I don't have a ring yet because of the removal of the infinite regenerating bushes, for instance, so I'm getting one later than usual.

I'll report back if I find any issues.
