From what I have seen and heard about Skyward Sword, I would say that the Zelda series is ready for something along the lines of the ancient astronaut theory.

The ultimate power, the Triforce was left in Hyrule where the gods created everything.
Therefore Hyrule is the center of that universe technologically, unless the gods themselves
are your astronauts.

Now you're getting somewhere, Cukeman. Yes, the gods would indeed be the ancient astronauts (extraterrestrials.) There is a lot more truth in this concerning our race's history than you might think. Look at our moon... icon_awesome.gif

It is worth noting than when you beat the Sandship, it is destroyed forever. That pretty much disqualifies it as a true, sacred dungeon. At least the Fire Sanctuary comes after the Sandship and is a volcanic dungeon.

Or so the people of that world were told, who's to say the Gods didn't create other worlds with similar claims that there is no life on other planets or that there even are other planets?

Wrong. Skipper says that he and his crew rebuilt it in the cutscene after you get the second flame, and you can travel back to it if you want.

Just entered the mines. So far, this game has exceeded all expectations, and I'm pretty excited about that. icon_smile.gif

As far as I'm concerned it's been 100% confirmed "them" do exist according to MM. As for the Sandship not being a sacred dungeon. The flames were given to the dragons if I recall therefore it doesn't have to go into a sacred dungeon.

Nolornbon reason why Link keeps returning Zelda after Zelda:

So Skyward Sword didn't get Game of the Year (Skyrim did, however) but it did get Best Wii Game and Best Motion Game. Second place, Best Wii Game and Best Motion Game... Pretty darn good if you ask me. icon_biggrin.gif Also, It seems like Nintendo won't stop here with motion controls, apparently they will be in the next Zelda game according to Zelda Dungeon.

I finally got my hands on this game, as it arrived in the mail today. I played it on a neighbor's TV since none of the guys in my apartment brought a TV. (I very well could have icon_unsettled.gif )

Anyway, from the 3 1/2 hours I've played, it left a good impression. I can't say it's a flawless experience, but it's never realistic to expect that. For the record, I'm a little bit into Faron Woods.

Thoughts and impressions:
- The music is so well done that I don't think twice about it. It holds up well to Nintendo's standards.
- The visuals are amazing. Animations are mostly believeable; Link runs funny.
- Groose is a dick.
- I've seen the kiriki (I forgot their names), and they are simply adorable
- The blue birds remind me of the wonderbolts. (Particularly Groose's gang)
- Admittedly, the exposition was a bit long, but it's still a lot better than TP's exposition.
- Turning is a bit sluggish, but then again, it has been since WW.
- The bird control is awkward.
- All other motion control feels very (surprisingly) natural.
- Normal combat is actually decently challenging. I've already used one potion.
- Money is A LOT more useful, but so far, it seems like it's been handed out like candy. icon_razz.gif

When I started playing, I had the thought of doing a Let's Play of it. Maybe I'll save that for my second playthrough, because I don't really want to torture myself from repeating the exposition.

It's holding up to my minimal expectations so far; it's better than WW.
