I used both. Although I would have only needed one if I wasn't reckless in the last phase. The way I saw it, I had full health and whole other potion, why work harder than I had to? Well I chose not to work so hard, and took heavy damage. Didn't care cus I knew I'd win. With the flame chip, you can get through the last phase very easily.Thought it would take a bigger chunk out of my magic than it actually did though.

BTW- You ain't seen nothing yet, just wait till after I get the red mail.

Edit - You know with only 3 hearts, the cultist cave was tougher than you'd think based on what people are saying, then again, it is with 3 hearts. Main cave itself wasn't so bad, the boss was a little hard, but with 2 medicines I managed, now to get the L2 arrow in level 5.

Yeah, it was more intimidating than hard. Took precisely 3 tries and 2 medicines, but with proper bomb placement and a little luck, I emerged victorious.

Edit - Update, I can't believe I am saying this, but I did the death eater in 1 try. I was expecting to beat him, but just not on the first try. Even I am shocked.

I have no reason not to try the master dome, eh?

Woah, if you could somehow record your accomplishments... I mena, it is so hard to believe that anyone could beat the Catacomb boss with only 3 hearts... O_o

And yeah, with your skills, you definitely have to try the MD and report back how it went. icon_wink.gif

Well, I have no recording devices, but I can post the save file up after I beat orlach, it'll have the death sword, and awsome arrows to prove what I've done. But yeah, I'm going for the master dome next.

I know part of the reason I had an easier time with the catacomb boss than the level 4 one, was because I already knew his patterns and stuff, so I had no strategy or movement patterns or anything to search for, I already knew what to do.

Oh yeah, custom bosses become easy once you learn their patterns... well actually every boss becomes easy after you have learned how the boss acts. icon_wink.gif
Unfortunately not everyone has the patience to try a boss more than a few times...

Well not necessarily. It's still hard to avoid being shot and avoid the damage combos and avoid being hit altogether, which you have to do when you have 3 hearts, you don't have much room for error, so reckless minimizing of damage(which would be the normal, "easy" way) is not an option.

BTW, as of right now I have the master dome key and have died 4 times, onto the boss key.

Err, it's been a while since I've played this. But since I don't want to go through 80 pages about this thread finding my answer, I have no idea what to do. I've beaten Level 1. And I'm trying to figure out where to go next. But I feel like I've explored everywhere I can.

Vasshington lava flows. Take the lower entreance to it(which requires the raft) and look for an opened cave, then go from there.

Oh and check this out, this was so exciting that I had to pause lost isle immediatly after doing it and post the snapshot:

Notice I have 1 medicine and half my life meter still left. I am just plain shocked. I never expected to do that well against that 10 headed hydra.

My question: Do you have enough potions to complete the entire quest? (Freebies I mean, not the ones you can buy) There are 10 total, the 10th being at the start of the second half of level 5.

Yes, I have the one I didn't use in the master dome, and then the one apparently in level 5. I'll probably just buy the last one in case I don't find it though. I also know I've only used about 6 of the ones you can find, but don't feel like searching for the others. In any case, the master dome is completed. Seems the boss was harder than I remember though, must have had a lot of luck last time. Well with the block restrictions I still got him.

You know the level 3 part of level 5 could have used a button in the room before the gohma 3 so I wouldn't have to keep walking back across the ice bridge every time I got the puzzle wrong. Also the gohma 3 could have used some damage combos.

Edit - Orlach, Now that's what I'm talkin about. But uh, how do I hit him without touching the blue portal thing?

This is wonderful, I killed him then saved, and, uh, the island isn't crumbling anymore so I have to kill him again. Now I saved with no medicines. I have to retrieve the save I had from slightly before this, but uh, it won't be tonight because I'm pretty frustrated right now and don't feel like it.

You saved right after defeating Orlach? Why would anyone do that? O_o
Even if you die at the "crubling sequence", you don't have to fight the boss again. It is safe to save when you have seen the credits and the game tells you to save. icon_wink.gif

OK. I'm assuming I need some other key item. I found where to go, but this strange blue bush is in my way. In fact, before I found that, I found some in Tahou Woods, just like that.

Those blue bushes wilt away when you complete a level. Completeing level 1 gets rid of the bush in the Chovian Fields near the Vasshinghon Flows entrance. Completing level 2 gets rid of the bush in the Tahou Woods. Completing level 3 gets rid of the bush in the Zakarand Fields right before a cave entrance into the Xaagan Wastelands. etc. Gotta beat those level bosses, so get a move on! icon_smile.gif

... Which entrance to Vasshinghon Flows? The southern entrance still has the blue bush, and I've already beaten Level 1.
