Okay, two things.

First of all, I haven't watched the Pokemon anime in years. What's this "synchro" thing you mentioned?

Second, the PokeDex is able to talk, and has a Pokemon inside of it. What do you want to bet that at least one point in the plot involves using the PokeDex to translate what a Pokemon is saying? Also, since it can talk, does that mean that we get a voice clip for the description of each Pokemon, and we can use it like Ash does in the anime mid-battle? It would add a more interactive dynamic than it automatically adding data after seeing/catching a Pokemon, having to remember to actually pull it out and analyze the opponent Pokemon mid-battle. If so, would it be a better if it was a no-time-needed action, or if scanning the opponent Pokemon actually used your turn because you were too busy to give your Pokemon a command? It could add another bit of strategy in trying to weaken or immobilize the opponent (put it to sleep, paralyze it, etc.) so you don't get nailed while trying to scan it.

I've got to catch up. The last Pokemon game I played was Black/White. I still need to play Black 2/White 2 and X/Y before I can get to this one. Even worse, I had gotten the idea a while back to start at the beginning of the series and compile all of my Pokemon via PokeGen/PokeSav as I catch them across all of the different games, so I'm still all the way back at Crystal as far as that goes.

Didn't want to create a new Pokemon topic just for this but I have a gift code for a Lvl 100 Darkrai mythical for X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. First person to PM me gets it.

So the regional bug of Gen 7 is Bug/Electric? Oh thank god, they broke the chain. I was getting tired of nearly every regional bug being Bug/Flying.

Togedemaru seems to be the pikaclone and it's Electric/Steel. Please let it have an evolution or at least give it good stats.

Dazzle makes opponent's pokemon priority moves miss. Counter to Talonflame?

First Normal/Dragon pokemon and it's hilarious. I want one.

Can we talk about how cool Tapu Koko is? An Electric/Fairy, apparently based off tiki. The new Electric/Bug they showed is also pretty cool. The last stage, at least. It's apparently the final evolution of the grub we've known about for a while.

But, every gen's gotta have its bad Pokemon. So... hello Puff the Magic Dragon.

You kidding, I'm attached to this guy already. It's everything else that seemed odd to me, especially that mech Zygarde turns into. ... okay, so dragon thing is odd, but in an endearing way.

Thanks for sharing Koh. And about the dragon, it reminds me of Valoo but I like it.

(I wish they would stop using the same music for every trailer)

Very rarely will there ever be a Pokemon I absolutely hate, or at the very least never want to look at again.

I'm really glad they are making some new types combos. It makes me a little excited for the games now, but not by much. Just knowing the games will have the same tired old formula (beat 8 gym leaders, beat the evil team leader, beat E4 and then beat the champion) and half assed story they have been having for 20 years now really demotivates me.

I'm not super fond of any of the Pokemon they've shown so far, other than the starters, and the woodpecker. A lot of them honestly just don't feel like Pokemon to me.

I dunno, I think most of these look fine. Mudsdale is a clever name but its design is... something else. And Comfey is basically just Flabebe: Pokemon that looks like it should be a grass type but is just fairy. But otherwise, they seem fine to me.

Well, Mimikyu... I mean I know every gen has a Pikachu clone but this one isn't even trying. :heh:

Well... That Alola Exeggutor sure is something. And that Sandshrew/slash are... eh. But that Vulpix is I need it. That bird though... But hey, enlisting the aid of Pokemon to ride around the areas? I'm okay with this.

The most exciting part for me is that there seems to at last be a little shake-up going on. Possibly minor, but just enough. If "Kahunas" are the gym leader replacements, that's kind of hilarious, but I'll take it, and these trials seem interesting. And these Z-Moves... I dunno, maybe they could introduce some neat strategy elements? The animations look pretty neat alright.

That Gumshoos Pokemon though, that name just reminds me of something else, can't put my finger on it...

Pokeride pokemon can be used to surf, breaks boulders and fly (so far, hope there's one to cut trees). Are they actually fixing the HM issue? If you can have several pokemon at a time to do every task possible, this will probably fix the HM issue that has been plaguing the games since Gen 1.
