So hopefully with the last update I made to the quest, unless there are any gamebreaking bugs left we missed or balancing issues, I feel pretty content saying this'll be my last major gameplay update to the quest. I feel that this quest had already done it's job pleasing everybody over the past 5 years, and with me fixing some of the issues (namely lack of secrets and amount of puzzles) and making this playable in 2.5, any other idea I have I'd like to just save for a future quest, if I ever have the time to make one. There is the final boss and ending I guess, but I decided to just leave it in as a mark of progression and so I don't stress Moosh out with anymore scripts for awhile.  Anyhoo, glad to see everyone still enjoys the quest, and I accept any kind of feedback and criticism, even if it's harsh, so I can apply this to future projects. :D

Oops, wrong topic. :P

I kind of hate to ask this, but could anyone rate/ review this quest, those who have played it anyway? I deleted the old reviews as they were in line with the older versions and not the current one, as a lot has changed since then (one old review for example complained about the lack of custom graphics, and a ton more was added in this recent update). I'll take any kind of criticism, so I can apply these to any future projects I may do. :)

Struggling to find the bow on shiroys Island... got the arrow.

Nevermind, that bush to the left of the entrance of level 2 isn't obvious...

Level 4 boss key? Any ideas?

It's off the map, in one of the spaces that's missing. Both floors should form perfect rectangles.

After you get to the top part of the map, walk right a room, down a room, and left through the wall.

How do you get the heart piece in level 8?  (It's in the level 2 section)

You push a block in the first room of the level 2 section to reveal a passageway to the heart piece.

So much like the extra patch I did for RoG before officially declaring my work with it done outside of bug fixes, I'm going to be doing the same for NEF, which includes:

- Total heart pieces bumped from 16 to 20

- Charge Ring is now obtainable

- Making things generally less cryptic (like hidden rooms off the map)

- Some bosses, like level 6 and 7, changed around to better balance difficulty

- Subscreen is redone, with letter as a separate item from potion now

- Lesser likelihood of final boss crashing ZC

- Other changes Teamudf might mention in his ongoing LP

This won't be submitted until Teamudf finishes his run of the quest on Youtube, but are there any other general flaws or minor ones that people on here can suggest that need looking into, whether it be bugs, balancing, and sense of direction, etc?

Found a game-breaking glitch:

I noticed somewhere around level 5 that despite having the White Sword, everytime I press the button to attack with the sword, Link would swing the Wooden Sword despite the fact that the A Icon and inventory showed the White Sword. This caused enemies to take the same amount of damage they take from the Wooden Sword.

The game-breaking part? This problem didn't go away when I got the Magic Sword, preventing me from getting rid of the obstacles that are blocking the entrance to Level 6.

I don't know what caused the problem. Maybe losing the Magic Shield to a Like Like in Level 5 (which was around the time I noticed the glitch)? Also, going back to the house where you got the White Sword has the guard still appear and talk with the White Sword there to pick up again (which did not get rid of the problem).

Another Glitch found (not game-breaking, but still strange):

In Level 3, if you go to the room that has the boss door, than backtrack back to the 2nd room, the quest will think you're in the boss room (The map in the top left will say "Level 3 Boss") and start playing the boss music.

What version are you playing it in? Teamudf, me or Moosh never ran into this problem. I'd recommend 2.5.1, since we kind of agreed on the fact that the final boss doesn't crash when playing it in that version for example. Thanks for telling me about the Dmap glitch though, it's been fixed and will be updated along with everything I else I plan to change.

Version 2.5. However, I just started a new game to try and find out what caused the "Link swinging the Wooden Sword despite the A icon and inventory showing the White Sword" glitch. I did not come across it again, so I don't know what caused it to begin with. But I was able to use the Magic Sword to get into Level 6 and was able to beat it.
