I don't work much with ZQuest, but I'll try to update this every now and then, but we've been slacking a lot;

We have the new stuff in, except Link with shields - those sprites are done, but not yet imported/setup in the quest file. Once someone who knows how to set them up correctly I can update this page with a new build for download.

Awesome!
I am actually looking to put in some effort into starting something once a new build comes out :D

It looks like I have to drop this tileset, at least for now. As much as I love it, it's lacking way too much in many aspects. I'm sorry. I love it very much, but it's simply not fully usable and doesn't look like it will be in a long time. Good luck finishing it, if you guys ever do.

i'm a bit confused on how to use the exterior house tiles.

https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing

^ screenshot

are the roofs supposed to be on the same layer as the bases?

what's the point of the "trimmed" black box above the house bases on the combo tables? (circled on screenshot, right)

how are you supposed to get the door trim to appear?  (circled on screenshot, middle)

when using the "little houses" the trim between the house and the roof shows up, but this isn't the case with the bigger houses. (circled on screenshot, left)

sidenote: is there a good way to make a taller house?  or does what i've done by stacking "little houses" look alright?

sidesidenote:  it's not just the boots that are enabled it seems that most items are enabled in the init data.

sidesidesidenote:  how's that update that has been hinted at a few times coming along?

edit:  i fixed the subscreens that came with the database version.  a bunch of the tiles had been shifted a page.  here they are below, should import just fine.

Some crystal decorations made for caves. They are shown in all in the current vanilla sprite CSets barring 6 which has been modified for my quest, so they are not shown in my custom CSets 10 and 11.

Edit: Fixed shading issues

Is it possible to make a full quest with these tiles? I looked through, and it looks like there are plenty of items, dungeons, and Link's tiles seem good to go. Is there really anything huge right now that is missing that would stand in the way of completing a small quest? The only thing I'm seeing is lack of door combos so far.

In the current version. Link with shield is missing. The sunscreens are all messed up (I provided fixed versions a few posts ago in this thread). There aren't a lot of different dungeon sets, so if you're looking for a lot of variety, you won't find it, but for a small quest or with importing you'll be fine. No npcs. There were some issues raised about goriyas using wrong weapon sprite. The init data has a lot of the items already selected.

It's definitely a great base. Probably enough to make a mini quest with. Looking forward to what's in this promised update though...

Yeah same. This is a really pretty tileset, but no subscreens, and no door combos makes it kind of hard to use at this time. I really like where this is going though. the tiles definitely seem easy to use compared to equally pretty sets with more tiles. Also, I don't blame anyone for not doing door combos. Those things are annoying, and probably one of the single most time consuming things to do in ZC.

Oh my. Those crystals are awesome. They look way better than the ones I made for my quest. Do you mind if I use them? I don't know you if you want me to wait for the next release first. Nut I want! Lol

Hey I don't know if this has been said or if it's in the tileset (I couldn't find one but my eyes ain't as good as they used to be) but would it be possible to sprite a ship? Like the boat from the oracle games. It's vital to a quest that will never be finished and it would make me mighty happy to boot.

Ships are always cool and can easily fit in most quests.
I agree with this.

tile page 69 has some ship tiles.  they are for a ruined ship, but you could probably use them as a start.

and page 62 has a small boat.
