oh, yeah. again. I have antics that i guess would be trolling, but for a reason. I don't think I have any reason to egg on the people in the chat. Just I like seeing what people would do. Like post to anti abortion fb pages and let them know "once, a 6 year old had a baby. if another gets pregnant, should she have the baby?"(the answer was yes, so now I want to make a movie about a 9 year old mommy)

so when done right, in the right place, trolling can be quite fun, and a good way to learn from people. but there is really nothing to do for our skype. unless it is ask who wants to colaborate on an obscene quest.

In very small communities like the Skype group there is no negotiation. Listen to moderators.

This. Of course everyone makes mistakes, so you won't instantly get banned or punished, but it is ideal to listen to the moderators since the community there is a small one and small communities tend to break easily.

but regardless, i think the group is doing better with each passing day. i like to thank all the people who are still in the group. : )

So, why do this when there's IRC? I mean, if I'm reading things aright, none of you actually voice chat, right? Just text?

Because, as suggested by some people here, people prefer Skype over IRC (two different things, but since we're on the topic of comparing the two...). There are many different people there that usually don't frequent IRC or the forums for that matter. And regardless if your internet disconnects or if you have to go, you'll see the entire conversation there.

Edit: I also got to meet a lot of new friends there such as EddyTheOliveira, DaviAwesome and joelmacool12 to name a few. They've grown into people I can trust and perhaps this wouldn't have happened without the (old, unmoderated) Skype group. So I think the Skype group is neat for what it is: just another chatroom with different people, conversations, etc.

Skype groups have more lurking power than IRC. :>

Fun little thing happened in the Skype group fairly recently:

Chat Log

We tend to have quite a few of these fun conversations! Remember, if you want to be in the Skype Group, just post here! :D

even though I'm not exactly an active forum participant, I would appreciate being a part of the skype group and all the shenanigans that entails.

my skype name is kaito-yuuki since some hispanic dude has my actual nickname...

We don't really need any moderators right now as the group is not big enough and the four of us can handle the group pretty well. I'm not sure when we'll ever accept more mods, but right now it's staying at 4.

Exactly what Eddy said above. Right now, the group is being handled very well by the 4 moderators that have been chosen since its beginning. Almost all of the time at least one of us is online and able to moderator and check the group, and of course talk with the other members in the group. This crucial fact enables us to essentially moderate at all times when necessary, which is an awesome plus. Also, considering that I highly doubt that the group will get much bigger than this (it's at 43 people right now) and that not everyone is online simultaneously, I sincerely doubt that we'll need more than 4 moderators as 4 is more than enough right now. Of course, that doesn't mean that it will never happen. ;) If the moderators decide that we should add another moderator, then we'll let all of you guys know. :)

Hey ZeldaPlayer, it's great to see you so enthusiastic to help out. However, I feel like moderation here is almost non existent. If you see us four moderators as anything higher than an average user, then don't. I don't think any of us want to feel like we are on a higher seat; we just want to help out as fellow users of the group. :)

We may consider more mods in the future, if one of us leaves or if more people join the group to the point where four mods aren't enough.

Didn't know there was a separate Skype group here. May as well.

My skype name is wolfmanncsu2000 instead of wolfman2000. Someone already took that name. *grumble grumble*
