Lol, he definitely should.

 

I could do all-nighters for my own quests too... but eh, I get tired too quickly, I don't want to fall asleep during a boss battle, only to wake up seeing a big "GAME OVER" on my screen. Not taking that chance lol.

 

Anyway, today's the deadline for the submissions isn't it? In that case, I can't wait to start playing all of these entries!

Okay, our entry is pretty much done. We're doing last minute bug testing tonight and tomorrow, but otherwise, it's finished. This has been lots of fun (well, I say that, but I wasn't the one pulling all-nighters to get it done), so good job organizing this Jamian. Looking forward to seeing what everybody else came up with.

Agreed, great job Jamian for organising this! I had a lot of fun making my little miniquest in the course of a week (although it was meant to be 2 weeks)

 

I wonder what other crazy ideas we'll have for a contest.

I try not to make excuses but damn, this sickness is making me lethargic. Time for ZC work, I'd rather have something playable rather than nothing at all!

We should be given an extra hour for those who entered daylight forward crap. Will work harder on finishing this quest than a crackhead stripping copper for scrap metal money.

I will not be that strict about the deadline. I'm allowing some leeway here, so I won't be sitting here with a stopwatch counting hours and minutes.

 

The contest does end on March 10, but if it's really a matter of a couple of hours, feel free to contact me and let me know you're still going to send your submission, so I don't end it too early for you. There has to be a deadline, but I don't want anybody to get denied because they were just a tiny weeny bit late.

Thank you. There is no excuse but entering late did set me back, and custom designing nearly everything is taking up a toll on my time.

 

In a few hours though I will submit mine, I'm fairly certain I can pull this off my 1/2 in the morning.

I had no idea what I was getting into, and I'm way over my head.  This could have been done in two weeks, but not on my timetable.  I'm going to put something out, but it's not going to be a formal entry into the contest.  Maybe you all will get a couple of laughs out of it.  I hadn't opened ZQuest in years, so this is what I have to show for that.  Apologies to everyone who should have gotten better from me.  Anyways...

 

This pre-pre-alpha of "Legend of the Golf: Limited Edition" features one terribad, unfinished, barely playable dungeon; a nearly-complete but still mediocre overworld with a few screens that do not have enemies, and an intro cutscene that is reasonably decent.

 

 

That's the post I began to type up, but you all don't deserve that.  Blech, I'm awful.  I'm doing my homework now and going to sleep.  Looking forward to seeing how ye who can actually do this, did.

It may not be the quest we want, but it is, in fact, the quest we deserve. Even if it's terrible beyond all precedent, it will at least give some joy to some unfortunate streamer's audience.

 

EDIT: And I'm done. I hope I didn't miss the deadline. I think mine will be the shortest of all the entries.
