It's quite interesting and engaging. The cast is also spectacular and each character has their own interesting and unique quirks. Granted Mayuri's is just to be ditzy and airheaded and generally only be the character everyone else cares about, but the rest of the cast is pretty damn solid.

I still don't think I'd ever classify Avatar as being anime, but I won't let that stop anyone from thinking it is or discussing it here. I was equally pleased with The Last Airbender, even the first episode, I could tell there was some kind of charm there, lurking beneath the surface, and from there it just got better and better. It's quite an excellent show, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Legend of Korra... Well, it's a good show, but I honestly don't feel like the main characters are anywhere near as deep and interesting as the cast of The Last Airbender. Don't worry, they're not trying to copy/paste TLA characters into the new setting, they've very much got their own quirks and personalities (although Bolin and Sokka have some noticeable similarities), but they feel... underdeveloped. I also found the first half of the first book to be a bit uninteresting, but then it really picks up from there until the finale, which a lot of people like but another few weren't that satisfied by it, so I'm curious to hear what you think on that. Legend of Korra does have the best villain in the entire Avatar series, though, with the best development, at least in my opinion.
On the topic of undeniable anime, though, I finished the original Clannad series, and am surprised to say I actually enjoyed it. It was just a quirky sort of show, and it had good characters, good stories, and good humor. I guess I wish I'd watched the sub instead because the dubbing is... mediocre at best, but I started watching it with my friend as a dub and figured I might as well finish it that way (I think I've mentioned this). I have After Story ready for viewing, but I'm taking a break so I can watch Firefly.

Oh man, The Last Airbender. It's honestly my favorite TV show in general, anime, western, live action, what have you. It starts out a bit kiddish, but as it goes on... it just gets so amazing. My only complaint is that they left us on a cliffhanger that still hasn't been answered six years later (although the comic that explains it is coming out this year). Korra... it's not as good as TLA, but I felt it was a worthy successor. I really liked how it addressed some pretty mature (and often times very dark) issues, especially the ones in the last episode. I'd disagree with TS on the main characters being underdeveloped. Bolin... yeah, he was. He started out great, then half way through just became delegated comic relief. But Korra was good, Mako, although I dislike him as a person, was a good character, and Asami was one of the most interesting characters in the entire series. And Lin and Tenzin don't even need addressing.

Well I was mainly referring to the main trio anyway, Korra, Mako, and Bolin. The rest of the cast is generally pretty great otherwise. The trio, however, I really don't find that interesting at all, but that's just me.

My little siblings and I just finished watching "Azumanga Daioh". It wasn't bad, although I think I prefer "A Channel" a bit more. Went looking for something new that they'd be interested in, so I'm downloading "Cardcaptors". I remember Kayla watching a couple episodes a while back and she seemed to really enjoy it. It's a bit longer than "Azumanga Daioh", clocking in at 70 episodes rather than Daioh's 26, so it's a bit of a bigger download than I'd like, but considering they finished Daioh off start-to-finish in less than a week, I'm not too concerned on having a lack of hard drive space for a bit.

I wish I could give Avatar TLA a chance, but I'm intimidated to watch any series in general that are over 50 episodes long. Unless if the story is good, I hate how producers drag anime to 100+ episodes. It's probably due to limited time in my hands or the amount of padding they try to squeeze in. You might wanna take back your weeaboo comment NoeL. ![]()
Now the next question...
Watch Death Note first or Stein's Gate?

Watch Death Note first or Stein's Gate?
Re: Avatar: I felt the same way, but it's worth the watch. There's not a ton of filler at all, and most of it is in the first season. Some of that arguably comes back later anyway. The third season is completely free of filler. So I'd say it's worth it if you ever find the time.
Also, I'd say Steins;Gate, since it's only 25 episodes (24 + an OVA). Plus I just really like Steins;Gate. ![]()

The third season is completely free of filler.
Wrong: The Painted Lady is technically filler. But yeah, there's actually not a lot of filler in the series. A lot of season 1 seems like it's filler, but almost all of it ends up coming back later. The only real filler episodes were The Great Divide, The Fortune Teller (both season 1), and The Painted Lady (season 3). I'd really suggest you watch it Tri. The first season is kinda a bunch of mini-adventures, so you can skip over some of it, but the second and third season are pretty much constant plot progression (aside from a bit in season 3, where they had to wait because of plot and instead explored some other tangent plots that ended up becoming pretty big in Korra).
Anyways, I'd personally recommend watching Death Note first. Basically same reason that TS gave; I like it better. I never could get into Steins;Gate.

Having seen both, I'd say Stein;s Gate first, though they're both good and worth watching. (I just like Stein;s Gate a little more, I guess. X3)

I'm gonna be watching Watamote and Silver Spoon this animu season.
I'll still be watching Attack on Titans though. Because Titans GO!

Dangan Ronpa's getting an anime? I'll have to watch this then. I'd been mostly waiting on seeing if the game would make it over here, but since that doesn't seem all that feasible, an anime adaptation will fill the gap...I hope. X3
Not all that feasible, I said...Ha ha ha... I guess I'll be skipping out on the anime until I've played the games. >_<
I've been meaning to get back to Serial Experiments Lain. Maybe I'll charge through the rest of it tomorrow when I get home or something, lol. And, as I mentioned to a few friends, I'm probably going to watch Clannad after. ._.

Avatar's only what, 61 episodes? Not really that long, and like others have said there's not a lot of filler (and zero clip shows). And the story is pretty fucking awesome, and my god what a finale.I wish I could give Avatar TLA a chance, but I'm intimidated to watch any series in general that are over 50 episodes long.
