Legend of Korra

(I originally misspelled this post's first sentence as 'Amon stole my Bender.' That would have made an even more interesting dream in my opinion.)

I saw the preview for the finale again during a SpongeBob commercial break. It almost looked like, when Amon had Mako and Korra subdued, they were being bloodbent. It made me wonder if Amon actually steals bending instead of just removing it, or if he had someone actually working for him... or he's really a waterbender. Or this "anti-Avatar" people have theorized about, which I just doubt, but... I suppose we'll find out in the finale. I can't wait. D:

In conclusion, it was a phenomenal end to a... good series that doesn't live up to its predecessor in most ways... I'm looking forward to the second season, but I'm skeptical it will be as good as this one; Amon was the perfect antagonist, and a new one I don't think will be able to match him. Whatever the story is, I'm sure the creators know what they're doing.
Now to wait a couple of months and then have a marathon of all of The Last Airbender, and the first season of Legend of Korra once the second season is close to release.

The only way it doesn't live up to the original is in the characterizations. The characters seem a little recycled in some ways. Only Asami and Korra really feel new.
Not to mention that Bolin is nowhere near as cool or funny as Sokka. Maybe they should have recycled Jack DeSena or hired a (teen) comedian to do the job.

An amazing season finale indeed.

All in all, that was one of the best things I've ever watched on TV.
So. Season 2. I'd say I can't wait for it, but actually, season 1 wrapped up the story quite nicely, rather than "Here you go, dwell on these cliffhangers for the next few months." I like that.

What a let down that was. Like, it all wrapped up nicely... but what a silly way to do it.
I'm also kind of disappointed the Equalist movement was completely dropped. It was a really interesting thing to explore, and ever since they began with the carpet bombings it's ceased to really be looked at. Amon's fate is pretty freakin' dark too. Yikes.
Still entertaining. Pity they had to squeeze all that in twelve episodes. Would have worked a lot better with twenty or so.

"I knew it! *smack*"
Anyways, for the non-serious portion of the post, here are some images:

Seeing as I've been on a roll with these predictions so far,
EDIT: We need some way to put spoilers in without causing a line break or new paragraph. It made my post look silly.
EDIT II: Sorry, TS. I didn't read your theory before making my own. Didn't mean to write the same thing in part of it. Still, I dunno. Nick's shown they're willing to get fairly dark on this. It's not much more of a leap, is it?

Now I'm a bit confused. Is there going to be a second season? What loose ends are there still that need tied up, anyways? I mean...
Well, the show was originally going to be just a 12 episode miniseries. After the first season was finished, Nick requested a second season. So everything through that final was already completed before they even knew they were making a season two.
