For one thing, I always talk to my computer screen. icon_smile.gif

For another, there's a difference between being a fanboy and plastering your profile with content. They may coincide often, but by no means are they synonymous. In order for the pony content to qualify as fanboyism, we would have to be saying something like "MY LITTLE PONY IS THE ONLY GOOD SHOW EVER TO BE MADE AND <INSERT OTHER SHOW HERE> IS CRAP!!"

That aside, I will acknowledge that the issue you posed is, truly, a problem, but it's a different problem from the one we were discussing.

A river in Egypt:
Someone's in it and they refuse to acknowledge that they are being carried away to nowhere. Seriously, if you've got a problem, face it head-on (apply directly to the forehead.) Don't act like your issue doesn't exist, pin it on someone else, or immediately give up and pretend things are going to be okay! Do something about it!

One-sided thinking:
Instead of being the victim, think through your situation as if you're outside of it looking in as an impartial observer; that way you can often see the situation more clearly, and it makes it much easier to see both sides of an argument. You may find a solution you didn't realize was there.

Don't purposefully be a martyr:
"I want to go to x for dinner."
"Wait, I thought we were going to y!"
"FINE! WE'LL GO TO Y!"
Guilt tripping is not cool.

Christopher Nolan/Peter Jackson Films Christopher Nolan movies because the whole plot twist/confuse the audience schtick gets tired very quickly. Peter Jackson movies because Lord of the Rings were definitely the most boring movies I've ever seen; nothing ever happens in the whole trilogy! And District 9 was terrible too.

Megan Fox, Scarlett Johansson, etc. I don't get why they're he biggest sex symbols today. Maybe it's just me.

Apple Their stuff is alright I suppose, but I've always preferred PC for computing and Sony for portable music.

Touch Screens I have large fingers and don't appreciate prints all over the screen. Plus, it can't be too sanitary.

Smart Phones I actually am looking for a rotary cell phone icon_deformed.gif .

Environmentalism You know what they say about guys with big carbon footprints icon_naughty.gif .

I don't think it's any less sanitary than normal buttons... I mean, what's the difference? You're still touching them. o.O

I tend to stay away from M Night Shyamalan movies, but I mean movies like Inception and the Prestige where they try too hard to be "smart".

Yeah, but you don't get reminded that by using normal buttons.

And there's no chance that perhaps they just ARE smart? I mean...the best movies are the ones that make you think.

That may be true, I mean that's why I don't get them and I can't argue with the fact that Inception is #10 on the imdb top 250 and his other movies are very highly rated. I just think his movies are kind of pretentious without very good plots that aren't very though provoking either.

Of course they're pretentious. If you must put it that way then I'd say 99% of all movies are pretentious. And plots, well...whatever his stories may lack in plot, they make up for with incredible acting and directing.

Uncalled for. Seriously.

Also, Vaelstrom, where's that screenshot you had from Lauren Faust's deviatnart page? The one about the intended audience? I think Zim Elite needs to see that.
