I like the two music themes for the overworlds. The give a dramatic feeling of urgency. The second has the rain music from alttp.

OK, I've beaten level 6 and got the flippers, so I'm assuming level 7 is in the water. I'm not finding any keys to unlock the path in the water maze, are they hidden in the water? I'm diving all around, also, but can't seem to find anything. I notice little circles in the water, what are they for? I can't seem to swim on top of them, they're "solid". I thought maybe the circles in the water were little clues to something, but I can't figure it out if it is.

Am I supposed to be able to swim on top of them, because I can't. I hope it's not because of the ZC version I'm playing on icon_frown.gif

if your using 2.10 they might not work somebody told me that water lock blocks also don't work in that version. Everything works in 192.183. Your meant to be able to swim over them and if you dive they work as stairs. If your using 2.10 you may just have to go in the editor and change these to stairs if they dont work.

If you like, that's fine, but I still think Hyrule Castle music is out-of-place...

Yeah, it was the version I was using. I downloaded 192 last night and got myself back to where I was, and I can now dive into the water warps. The only thing with 192 is for some reason on my laptop I can only play quests in a small "window", I can't play full screen, ZC crashes when I try to, for some reason. Oh well. I am thouroughly enjoying this quest, the music doesn't bother me at all. I've played some quests where the music was so annoying I had to turn the sound down.

Also, thanks for being so quick with your replies! icon_thumbsup.gif

There the tiles that I used in my quest. *runs*

Beaten the game I give it a 6.5/10 gameplay was great but the screen design, music, graphics choice was a little average.

The overworld world theme was a huge mistake. I mean, Hyrule castle as the overworld theme?
I'm saying this to who ever made the quest not the one who started the topic.

^ I agree

As the person who started the topic, there's no way that I could possibly construe your unhelpful comment as applying to me, and I think you and the quest maker might both benefit by your reading the pinned topic "Regarding Feedback" which provides some guidance on giving constructive feedback.

^ I disagree. Underlines were intended for a reason, you misread his post he was referring to the quest maker not you. And plus his comment was helpful and constructive, I see no reason why to beg differ. icon_sweat.gif

gameplay was great

This is all i notice when i play i dont really notice the other things you mentioned. I was trying to make a (hard) quest like Isle of the Winds, Doublevision and Links Birthday which is what i like.

What do you mean there the tiles you used in your quest? Did you make tiles the same? i havent seen overworld dive warps in any other quests.

Gameplay isn't one thing that makes a good quest. Screen Design, Graphics, Music, Storyline etc. are also need to make a good quest you only have one aspect of a quest witch kept the game from being any good it was just average. icon_neutral.gif

Also I'm taking it you don't know what *runs* means right? It means I was joking. icon_razz.gif

Shane, have you played this quest through or have you made any quests? I really don't get why you're cutting this down so much. I think this is one of the better quests I've played in a while, especially for a 192 quest. It's got challenge, a storyline, good dungeon design and a great "quest" element. That, right there, is to me, what makes a good game. If the music bothers me, I turn down the volume, that really isn't that difficult to do. I'm assuming this is tox_von's first quest and you'd never know that, it's got the feel of an "established" questmaker, one who knows the tricks of making a good ZC game. Maybe when you put your quest into the database it will be better than tox_von's, but until then, I'll just enjoy this quest.

Anyway, it took me quite a bit of time to figure out how in the heck to get Power Zol icon_lol.gif Very creative! I'm now in Power Rule and will play some more later today. I just don't want you to be deterred by harsh comments. If "A Link to Power" is any indication of your style of future quests, then you will have some 5 star games. Good job.

edit to add: Was there only the flute in level 9? I don't know if I missed anything in there or not. Should I have the lens before I get to Power Rule?
