I'm doing pretty good, and I found out how to make sidescrolling ramps by using conveyors and triggers!Less ladders for the win!

I'm still so far behind. But I will finish this quest, even if I don't finish it in time for the contest.

I've got like ... ten more areas to cover and then do the dungeons and all the extra stuff. I hopefully will finish this before the due-date ...

Time for some ratings!
Ok, not really, but here's the way the quests are going to be rated.

Graphics
Of course, the graphics. Certain tilesets will be worth more than others, depending on popularity and such. However, it also depends on how well you use a tileset.

Plot
Everyone likes a good story, so plot is important. Please try to be creative with your story, and try to stay away from the generic "save Zelda" thing.

Gameplay
Self-explanatory. How good is the gameplay? Is it interesting, difficult, unusual, ect.?

Effort
Again, self explanatory. It seems that we're all working on our quests and not waiting until the deadline or until the last week to start, so we shouldn't have any problems here.

Music
Music sets the mood for the area. How well do you use music in your quest?

Each category will be rated on a scale of 0-20, for a grand total of 100. Good luck!

Well, I don't like to comment on things until I am certain of my work, and confident with what I have produced. That's just how I do it.

I have started making the quest, I'm using Pure Remembrance, mainly for it's ease of use. It has a Goron theme, mixed with a Christmas type theme. I hope to have one overworld, and three dungeons. Length isn't my forte.

I am not making any promises that I will get it completed. I will eventually finish it though, much like Russ hopes to do.

I doubt I'll finish in time for the contest. But I do hope to finish by Christmas. Although I doubt it will happen.

Well I decided that I probably should post up a shot of my quest.

In the quest I have decide that I will either use the GB ,ountains, or snow covered mountains. But I'm not sure which one to use. Here are the two different types:

So which mountains?

Hmm.......I am not to found of the snow covered, or does the GB blend in well. I'd say Gb, though.

I say using the snow "block" mountains, they fit better and are more unique.

I also see you used my snow covered pine tree, nice.

I like the blocky snow better, they look better there.

Anyway, some maps.

This is the beginning of the game, and a dream. You will go to several places like this throughout the game and learn something about the 'aliens.'

This is the tropical island, you will take a boat (from where it says so) to the last level. But that is not what you intend, your trying to get away when the 'alien' dudes attack.

And for the plains, your going to hafta' wait for motm!

EDIT: oh yeah, and do you think I should recolour those trees for a more popular tileset and submit them? (The ones in the dream)
The tops would be new tree overhang things, not just treetops.

That's some good ZC content. I don't think those trees are that nice actually. They are very realistic and don't really fit the style.
My eyes felt very good when looking at that tropical island, in other words, I like it.
