Hi.
I got to level 4 and I have the key from the outside. I got the tunic.
I cannot use the key on the entrance to level 4.
Does anybody have a helpful hint?
Thanks

This is a 2.5 bug. Switch to the newest alpha build, and it should work.

Thanks to russadwan's suggestion in another thread, I got this working again! icon_biggrin.gif (Turned out that I was using 2.11 beta 10b. The bug doesn't exist in 2.11 beta 10a. The joy of unstable releases, but at least I was able to copy the save file over. ^_^)

And, with that fixed, I spent about two hours pulling my hair out over level eight, sketchinig out maps and navigating the whole thing. I hate wizrobes! But I made it!! That was a cool twist, having us travel through the boss room in order to find the item that would awaken the boss. icon_smile.gif

But anyway, now I'm stuck in level nine. In room 25(?) of floor one, there is a large pit of lava with an unlit torch on the other side. I need the fire boomerang. I can't find the fire boomerang. I've explored all other routes, but I keep running into spots that require the golden arrows. I can't find the golden arrows. I've found the compass, but not the map or big key. Clearly, I'm missing something that's either completely obvious (and I can't see the forest for the trees) or completely devious. Help please? I just need to be pointed in the general direction of where I'm supposed to go next.

Also, where are the sword upgrades in this game? To my memory (I've been playing this quest off and on for the past three months), I only have the second upgrade. I haven't found the third or fourth (if there is a fourth).

The third sword is found on the Heaven's Trail. The fourth one isn't in the game. As for level 9, I'm not at a computer I can look it up on, but when I am, I'll check.

@ ricky, lvl 9 question:

if memory serves me right, there's a glittering statue somewhere that only requires the silver arrow to activate.

More specifically, the Magic Sword is found in Heavens Trail that is connected to Sparsi Desert. It should be easy to find.

The general location of the Fire Boomerang, from the entrance of Level 9, is up, up, left, (up) right, right, up, right, down, up the stairs, up, up, up, left, up, and down the stairs.

If you don't know what to do in the room of only Darknuts and statues that shoot fire, try reflecting the fireballs back at the enemies.

Help! I can't find the Ocarina, which I guess I need to get to Level 2. I've been back over the swamp, field and village 3 times. Te every nook and cranny. thanks in advance for any help.

Scratch that. I decided to see if my link to AGN still works. It does and I'm gonna go do what it said.

Well, I got to Level 2 and went thru a few rooms but I guess I still need the Ocarina. I went to AGN and read the first 18 pages. No help. Maybe this Quest is just too hard for me? About all I am doing is getting killed over and over and over.

You have been in level 2? Have you tried to move the statue or block (i can't remember) in a room with one of those soldier monsters. There you will get a key if you need one. Well the ocarina IS in level 2 and as i remember then you have to get past a lot of trouble before you are able to get it. I hope it helped icon_biggrin.gif

I am having trouble starting lvl 7. Entering the four entrances I have found it seems that I need either a better glove or the lens. I have a key and cannot negotiate the floor leading to the only locked doorI can find. Did I miss these in another dungeon, the clouds or the overworld? Am I missing anather entrance?

Please help

I'm looking for the flippers and I'm not sure where I'm supposed to look. Are the flippers in the 2nd entrance of Level 5, and if so where?? I've tromped all over both dungeon entrances 1 and 2 and can go no further without flippers. Also, I've never found a yellow flower in the village. Does it appear after completion of a certain number of levels? Any help you can give me would be much appreciated... tks

The flippers is in the second entrance. You must realize that you can fall in the pit that's accessible from there. Then the flippers are somewhere at the eastmost part.

Yellow flower? It's northwest from the village. It's in a one screen sized valley, south from a shop if I remember well.

Thanks, but that's still not getting me there. When I come in to the 2nd entrance, I go East, South, and East again, which puts me in a room with a pit and doors in all 4 directions. However, when I fall into the pit below there is a small chest in the middle of the room which had a key I'm guessing, cause it's empty now. You can't travel east in this room as it is closed off with blocks... where am I going wrong??? Please help, I'd really like to move on.....Tks in advance....

Oh sorry, I meant the flippers is at the WEST part... I remember going through a ladder/hookshot maze... and it's at the westernmost column of rooms... I also remember a raft switch room... and it's at the northwest... Yes, I remember going through there with raft, then coming back with flippers...
In this quest, it sometimes occurs that there's a crack on one side of a wall, but you need to bomb from the other side. So, maybe you should try bombing some walls. Do you have any keys? Or you saw a door somewhere you just don't have the key to it...?
Sadly, the complex layout and puzzles are hard to remember.

Castchaos, thanks sooooo much I'm finally on the move again! I didn't realize that the floor switch in that one room was a toggle on toggle off...... sneaky devil.... I kept asking myself why there was only one block for a hookshot in that room. Like I said.... sneaky. I can see I'm going to really have to give my brain a more extensive work out on this quest... it's very challenging. Also, found that pretty little yellow flower... tks again!

Rats!!! Spoke to soon. I have no keys. Made my way west and found a locked door.... help again pls...

I have been in level 2. I can go up twice, kill the red darknut, but the block will not move. Then bombed up. Takes me to a narrow platform, and I can't go any further. Then went back to the room where I killed the red darknut. Went right to a room with a puzzle. Completing puzzle opened a door down. Killed enemies. Opens stairway.

I also went left from Start. Killed enemies, Opened way to next door left. Killed enemies and forgot what I got from the chest.

I guess I need the key but, like I said, the block in the room with the darknut won't move.
