@ dfw:

the hcp in lvl 4 is in the room south of the dungeon boss. if you turn the dungeon on, you will find it.

you need the wand and book (both in lvl 5) before you can get the blue mail.

the bait is in the well in the woods.

level 5? wow, seems kind of late to be getting the blue mail in this quest. Especially since you can complete the entire grave mini-dungeon sans blue mail with items acquired from levels 1-4.

Anyway, your dungeon design is impeccable and I'd love to build your next overworld. XD

stuck in level 5, I got my first key and unlocked my first door, now I'm just wandering in circles, help?

you need to get the wand next. the key you got should open access to an underground passage that leads you to the wand.

Use your key to go down here, then left and into the passageway that will ultimately take you to the wand.

just need to get there on the green side though, right? That's the tricky part.

If you follow the path, you'll come to a room where you can flip the color and do what you want to do!

start at the entrance of lvl 5.
move 1 screen left.
move 1 screen up.
move 1 screen up.
move 1 screen left.
move 1 screen down (you need the key to do this).
move 1 screen left.
go down underground passage (you need to unlock a secret to activate the passageway).
emerge from underground passage. move one screen right.
go down stairs.
move one screen down.
change the tree solidity color.
now you can move one screen left.
move 1 screen down.
move 1 screen down. get the wand (this is the room right next to where you found the key but you couldn't reach it before due to a tree blockage).

Found the wand, but didn't get much further than that.
Now I don't know what else to do with it. There is a room one up and one right of the wand that has mirrors and a place for a chest to appear but I can't figure out what to do there. And I need another key it seems.

you don't need to worry about that room until you get the book. for now, backtrack to the underground passageway and find a room with an orb in the center. it's very obvious once you find the room.
