Well I got my copy of Arts and Artifacts to keep me occupied a while. I am very impressed with the size of this book. The quality is the same as Hyrule Hystoria with beautiful binding and top notch paper but about twice the pages.

Man there's something so great about the simplicity of Link's design in the first 4 games, feels more like he's part of an immersive world somehow. Modern versions get too busy and complicated.

Apparently there was a Breath of the Wild panel at GDC and Nintendo live-tweeted the experience. The most interesting bit to me was this:

 

 

This was a prototype build that they made to show off some concepts or something like that. I look at this... and I want this to be completed as a full game and released as a full game, even if it's like an eShop title. I'm not sure why but I like the look and I'd enjoy a sequel to the original Zelda's gameplay style. Looks nice.

Oh man... I wish there was some sort of way to just make that ourselves. I know Mario Maker has been out for a while, and if Nintendo is smart, they'll finally give us a Zelda Maker.

 

But, if this was posted in the screenshot critique thread by Nintendo, I'd have to point out the lack of water borders, and they got Link's colors all wrong!

 

But on a more serious note, it would be neat if Nintendo did make an NES style sequel to the NES game. I just noticed too, that Octorock in the bottom right is shooting a pretty steady stream of rocks.
