Interesting how they used an entire case all to set up a single subtle plot point like that. Still hated that case, though. (Except for the part where Maya channels Mia to get info out of the old man. That was hilarious!)

But yeah, Godot's vision problems. Interesting plot point. He was a good character too. Smooth, classy, unshakable. Wish a certain plot point wouldn't render him incapable of being a prosecutor again, or at least a major character (barring potential options).

I'm also playing around with some RPG Maker games to get ideas on one that I'm working on. I found one with an interesting slot machine minigame, and accidentally figured out how to break it for free goodies by clicking outside the window to freeze the slots. If I can figure out how to make the game keep track of mouse clicks, I can do something similar but eliminate that exploit. (I want somebody to fine the player 1000 gold or something for cheating. Players are going to be in for quite a surprise!) The other thing about that game is that there's a particular sidequest (known as the "Witch's Quest") where, even though everybody who plays the game is fairly open on helping out, nobody out there is willing to give any information on because of a specific request from the game's creator. Rather frustrating given how hard it is to figure out, but very nice how people as a whole will listen and respect somebody enough to make things this difficult on me.
Speaking of RPGs, does anybody know where I can find the damage formulas used by different games like Final Fantasy, Disgaea, or SMRPG? I'm trying to figure out how to modify the default one I'm using to be easier to work with very small stats, but right now it's either kill the boss in a single hit and not take any damage from it's attacks, or be blown away too easily and not be able to deal any damage at all.

This is getting tiring...
I have to say out of all four games the last one is the hardest. The enemies are waay over powered. I mean I'm getting my ass handed to me by monsters that are like 20 levels below me... I'm at level 94 and I'm having a hard time getting through this.
I hate to see what cursed wave battles are like in this game... now I'v heard that Tarvos is one of the hardest, I can't wait to have fun with it

I will say that part 4 was the worst game out of the four. so much grinding needed it was crazy.
Last night I spent 4 hours looking for 3 Virus C's and that was pain in the ass because I was already at level 99 and to get them I have to fight enemies in a level 3 area >.<. Thank god that I found my negative weapons where I could data drain the weak losers...
But at any rate I'm done!, thank god D:

So yeah, Apollo Justice. I got pretty far through the fourth case; had wanted to try to finish the game tonight, but I'm going to bed. I'm very close and will finish it tomorrow. It's definitely an interesting game, though the cast is... pretty weak. Apollo himself is a good kid, and I do like that Klavier is a friendly prosecutor who cares more about the truth than victory (even if as a character he feels shallow), but the rest of the new cast is just... kind of flat. Some could say it's because the game pretty much is still all about Phoenix Wright, his fall and vindication, and maybe so. But none of these characters really produce any interesting spark at all. Except for Apollo, he's at least a good all-around character.
But at least we still have Udgey.

Pokemon has a good damage forumla. Go to Serebii and look under "Game Mechanics" for the damage calculator.

Speaking of Pokemon, I (finally) managed to get my hands onto a legit copy of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky. It took me ages to find it (but not forever to find Time and Darkness, lolwat), largely because I discovered midway through my searches that it isn't getting produced anymore. Now I am happy to even have it as a legitimate, new copy of that game, considering that it is no longer getting produced.

Anyways, still been playing Final Fantasy X-2. Call me crazy, but I'm fairly certain that the developers had absolutely no idea on what to do with difficulty progression. They give you loads of sidequests to do in each chapter, so I've been using a guide to keep track of which ones I have still to do. However, because I've been doing all of the different things that they provided me to do, rather than skip all of them and only do the main story, it seems that I'm horribly overleveled.
I mean, I'm around level 27 with each of my characters, and I'm at the part where the Gullwings learn about Vegnagun and go to Bevelle to look for it. I've been breezing through all of the enemies with fairly simple strategies. For instance, right now I'm using Gunner, Alchemist, White Mage and sticking with Trigger Happy, Attack (still learning Alchemist skills), and Pray. This means that all I have to do is hold down X while occasionally hammering R1 to win just about every battle. Songstress gives you free full lockdown on all enemies right at the very beginning of the game, so learning the initial abilities is a breeze, and it seems that every job has one particular ability that lets you just ignore the battles and hold down the X button to win.
The only place that was a challenge was Gagazet during the uniform raid, simply because I'd be hit with continuous Killer Fang attacks from trios of White Wolves, and I wasn't packing Deathproof equipment. Honestly, the game isn't as bad as everybody seems to think, but it's far too easy if you're like me and like to wander around and soak in the backstory. (easy to do if you liked the first game and want to see what everyone's up to)
