One thing I've always found interesting about portrayals of the Oedipus/ Sphinx scene is that many of them, including yours, have the Sphinx appear relatively small. In the story, it sounds like a truly vicious creature that no man would stand a chance against in a real fight, but it's hard to imagine something that small being as deadly as described. Then again, there's something to be said for agility and claws. Cats that size can kill people in real life. Anyway, that one's my favorite.

Yes Ed, it is ink and watercolor on paper. Except for the Oedipus one, that's pencil with a filter on it.

Aevin, I somewhat agree. But mine is based on what I believe to be a vase design.

Thanks for the likes and feedbacks. All of these are illustrations for a newsletter or for flyers and such btw.
