6 gyms down for me, and I've kinda realized something in the way of leveling up my pokes might be in order...
My pokes are around the 25/26/27 mark if I remember correctly. Even considering that I still managed to down Jasmine's Lv. 35 Steelix with pokes 9-10 levels below it, once I get to Mahogany Town and the Lake of Rage I'll need to take some time to get my pokes to Lv. 30 or around that, given that I kinda ran through the last two gyms (in the reverse order, no less!), getting through mostly through my excessive use of type-trumping.
Eh. I'll see what I'll do once I get there though.

Don't worry, Team Rocket will give you plenty of exp. Especially if you don't turn off the initial security system...

I must say, so far I'm liking Venusaur a lot.

Sleep Powder (75% Chance of Sleep, 25% better than Hypnosis) -> Sunny Day -> Solarbeam

He's even better when I have him as a Double Battle partner with Arcanine's fire attacks.

And as long as you have a Pokémon with a strong Ice-type move, you'll do just fine against Clair.

Lemon, Jasmine is in Platinum? Where?

Right before the Elite Four she's standing on some shoreline.

Wow, it took me this long to realize that you can call and battle Gym Leaders as many times as you like per day. I just battled Jasmine 3 times today.

I fought her four times today, actually. Got Lucius all the way from 56 to 60. He almost swept her team twice (thanks to Earthquake and her Metagross using Gravity twice the turn I used SD). Steelix decided to Roar him out of the fight both times when I tried another SD to get through Steelix's insane defense. But anyway. icon_rolleyes.gif Gonna fight Chuck a couple more times later. Zephyra came close to sweeping him late last night.

Now I understand why TS's Pokemon leveled up so quickly.

I could've maxed out my team by now, but it gets boring fighting the same leader a zillion times icon_shrug.gif.

I feel so bad. I'm so underleveled, the leader rematches for are a struggle, a big challenge, not an exp festival. icon_razz.gif

Yep. And I didn't just do it a couple of times then quit. I actually sat there fighting them over and over until they were at level 85, then I went and slapped Red senseless.

Eh, I didn't find it all that boring, but that was because I really wanted Charmander, Torchic, and Groudon. icon_deformed.gif

Right now, I've become obsessed with breeding. I'm trying to breed a Chickorita to have a Meganium have this movset:

Toxic
Light Screen
Counter
Energy Ball

I am also trying other different kinds of breeding. Like a Typhlosion that knows Extrasensory.

Well, right now I have at least one stage of almost every single Pokemon in the Johto dex. So, time to evolve/breed like made to fill up the dex. icon_razz.gif

Oh ya, and I'm in the Seafoam Islands right now. They're amazing. I really love how well designed the place is. And it's really fun to go through, unlike Fr/Lg's, which had me tearing out my hair trying to figure out where the boulders went.

Did you find the Ice Beam TM? I couldn't find it when I captured Articuno.

Yes, I did. It's near the top of the cavern system. You know the room with those snowboarders? If memory serves me, it's in that room, on the left side of a ledge in the bottom left corner.
