Ugh, engineering. I could never do that. WAY too much math. I don't like math much. I'm good at it, but I don't like it at all. Except for geometry. I do like that. Especially those problems where they give you some complex figure, give you a few angle measurements, and then have you find out all the other ones.

Heh. I'm going the route of industrial electricity when I head back for school one of these years... I'm not a big math fan myself, much more into circuits and wires. There's no room for me to brag since I'll just be doing a tech school, but meh... I'll be studying what I love, freaking electricity. I mean, I don't love it because of how convenient it is in day to day life, but I'm more or less fascinated by it.

Circuits has plenty of math; pretty much any time-dependent circuit (read: anything that uses AC current, inductors, or capacitors (read: pretty much everything important)) is based in derivatives/integrals and sometimes imaginary/complex numbers. I took an introductory (if you can call a 300-level class introductory) circuits class during the spring and I was the only one in my group of friends that pulled an A. The average on the final was a 54, and I scored highest in the class with a 90 because I break the unbreakable.

Yeah, engineering is pretty math heavy, but I'd rather take a math course than biology. Memorization is not my forte.

Memorization's my strong point. Once I hear it, I remember it, and I'm fascinated by biology, so, well, you do the math. Oh no, I brought up math again!

But seriously, I love biology, and I'm great at it, so that's what I'm majoring in.

Yeah, biology IS pretty damn cool. A pity I was taught by an imbecile in Highschool. I got more out of the textbook alone than his class, and whenever I had a question, he had no idea. It was one of those "I'm a coach, but I also teach 3 other entirely unrelated subjects! icon_biggrin.gif" things.

Ouch, bummer. I've taken nearly all my science classes since middle school with the same teacher, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm slightly depressed that she's not going to be teaching me anymore. She's a chemical engineer, so she knows what she's talking about, and since she's just teaching at a private co-op, and has to pay for her own stuff, she pumps every cent she made from the classes back into buying lab equipment and whatnot. So she's pretty much been teaching for free, for years. She managed to make everything interesting and funny, and she was just all around such an amazing teacher... but I digress.

I think I worded myself a bit badly- I dislike math that I feel like doesn't have much of a purpose. Geometry? Never gonna use it. Probability and Statistics? Meh. Algebra? Don't get me started. I know the subject material for those, mind you. icon_razz.gif If it's crucial to electricity, well then I'm probably cool with it.

I took statistics, boring as hell, but it sure helped me with Pokemon and color wheels.

Ugh...me and math do not get along either. We used to, but we don't now. D: But for some reason, my English course in university (which I am happy to say that I am throwing out the window and to the other side of the universe. icon_deformed.gif) seemed to require a math of some variety. (I took economics which counted, but while the professor was a good guy, the class was horrendously boring, even with the prof trying so hard to make it interesting) Why the heck do I need a math credit for English? Meh, like I said, I'm not taking that program any more...What a piece of garbage that was. (Though Greek and Philosophy were very interesting. icon_biggrin.gif)

No, next year I intend to take chef training. icon_biggrin.gif (I plan to work this year to make some money for next year.) Heard lots of good about the program and cooking is something I actually enjoy doing. :3

Funny enough, the friend of mine who got me into Phoenix Wright was the one who pointed me toward the course. XD

"Excuuuu-uuse me-eee-ee, sii-iii-iiiir?" inquired a cackling voice from close by. I quickly looked around but saw nothing, until I looked...down. There she was, no taller than four and a half feet, requesting my assistance to move a large package of water bottles in the grocery store parking lot.

What a day.

EDIT: What are the chances that as soon as I post this, I run to Walmart to get a binder and have an eerily similar encounter? My gosh.

Me and math aren't the best of friends. Apparently, I don't know functions. But I still like math. It has next to no practical applications outside of specific fields, but I find it fun.

I dislike biology with a passion though. I never found it enjoyable. Especially environmental biology. I absolutely hated it. icon_unsettled.gif

We had a teacher like that at my school. He taught English, History, and Religion. And by that, I mean he talked about basketball during all his classes. Thank god he's gone. (Although I will point out I never had him as a teacher.)

Probability and statistics is probably the single most useful area of math for a layperson to know, just saying.

Feel like crap right now.

My teacher talked about how everyone is so narrow minded, only being able to see what they're told. It felt so out of place in class today. I feel crushed, terrible, and know my narrow mind-ness can't be changed. I just want to cry.
I feel like the stupidest person in the class, just sitting there, not understanding. I probably am the stupidest person there. icon_cry.gif
