Super Smash Bros. Brawl

My guess on characters are: Star Wolf, Luigi, Olimar from Pikmin, Falcon, and Mega Man.
My other ones that I have a little bit more doubt on: Mr. Game and Watch (for some reason, I see him returning, as a secret character again), Jiggypuff, Ridley (I know people would maybe not like it but Nintendo had a lot of pushes to get this one up, secret character for sure), Pac-man, and Ganon (I see him returning, only if he goes a different moveset)
Ones I think got cut off: Falco, Pichu (obiviously), Mewtwo, Dr. Mario, Ness (Lucas is his replacement), and Marth and Roy (see Ness).

That's a pretty convincing argument, there.
I'm fine seeing all of them come back except Capt. Falcon. He's just plain annoying... I've heard him called a "locomotive." Fast, and strong; his only initial disadvantage is his horrendous recovery time if he duffs an attack. Plus his voice clips are cheeseball, and worse yet, they made the bizarre choice of using the same moveset for Ganondorf. Weird.
Well, enough bashing Falcon. He CAN be improved. And "no clones" is music to my ears. If Ganon's in this one, he needs his own style. And a sword.
Incidentally, there haven't been any new Zelda characters announced. I'm wondering if that increases the likelihood of Ganondorf returning.
Hehe, I don't see anything wrong with it. Tidbits of fun (and often funny) details about a good upcoming game, without having to rely on the rumor mill. Personally, I find it more entertaining than syndicated newspaper comics.
My guess on characters are: Star Wolf, Luigi, Olimar from Pikmin, Falcon, and Mega Man.
Good guesses. I think they're all likely.
Except for Mega Man. I don't think any speculation on a 3rd party character is a good guess unless it's based on a public hint. And by that I mean a direct quote from someone representing the project (...or a 3rd party seeking to negotiate an arrangement with Sakurai and Nintendo).
Ones I think got cut off: Falco, Pichu (obiviously), Mewtwo, Dr. Mario, Ness (Lucas is his replacement), and Marth and Roy (see Ness).
You think Mewtwo is gone? Yeah, I guess he isn't THAT popular. But unlike the others you listed, he wasn't a clone, so I thought it notable that you listed him.
I totally agree about Marth and Roy. I'll be sad to see Marth go, with his prettyboy butt-whoopin', but I do like Ike. And there are far too many Fire Emblem heroes to stick with the same two characters forever.

Hmm... I wonder if all of the original characters (minus the secret ones) from SSB have paired up with their villains.
Mario -> Bowser
DK -> Still nothing, but I could always assume Mario is the villain (DK Jr., anyone?)
Link -> Ganondorf
Samus -> Ridley? (not sure yet if he makes an appearance)
Yoshi -> I link him to Bowser, also, for SMW2 reasons, unless Bowser Jr. makes some sort of appearance.
Kirby -> King Dedede
Fox -> Andross (as an assist trophy)
Pikachu -> I pick Mewtwo or Deoxys, since Pokemon have no real villains.
Don't mind me. I'm just planning Brawl ideas, right now.
Anyway, enough with the new characters. I want to see veterans get confirmed now, as well as some stages. I'm pretty sure some of the confirmed new characters need to be unlocked, anyway.

Even if not, I'm sure Falcon will make a comeback.

Also because I never expected they'd actually do it O_O
Makes me want to make an arena battle with all 4 sides closed, and one little hole in the center. Bwahahaha.

And to top it off,
And a stage selected from the entire daily collection will be sent from Nintendo to your Wii. A stage made by someone else will come to you over the Internet once per day!"
One of the central aspects of this game is now greatly customizable by the player. This is HUGE.
Just what else can they squeeze into this game by next year!?!

Nintendo, you just made my day, week, month, year, lifetime! February, please come quickly enough!
Also, I noticed that the ladders are actually usable. I can't wait to

I predict playable mii's, a custom character builder/editor, megaman, a final fantasy character and world peace. OH and a cure for cancer.

That pic alone just looks awesome. Also, I was looking at the features that are implemented so far, and I see the following:
Horizontal and Vertical moving platforms
Ice Block
Ladder
Spikes
Block with down-arrow, but I'm not sure what it does, exactly.
Conveyor Belts
I'm hoping more pieces will be added by the time Brawl comes out, because I don't see any unclimbable slopes. 45 degree slopes, I think, were climbable in Melee. Also, maybe they'll add the acid/lava feature from the Metroid levels.
Right now, I have a few stage ideas in my head:
Dr. Mario bottle - shaped like the bottle from the games, with fallthrough platforms inside. Here, brawlers have to deal enough damage to an opponent to send them flying out of the bottleneck.
Brawl Hall - Basic Smash stage, but with a corridor similar to the lower level of Hyrule Temple's stage, where players can bash their opponents enough without them going flying.
Evil Factory - Fight your opponents on conveyors, while steering clear of spikes. <--- I'm hoping Sonic Adventure DX's Final Egg stage's music is available, so I can add that music here.
EDIT: Who knows? I might make some Trinity Worlds scenes, as well.
