The NES Zelda's had the BEST "gold" cartridge appearance out of all of the cartridge based console systems. Significantly superior to the god awful yet probably more realistic gold that the N64 Zelda cartridges used.

It's actually dawning on me how close this game is to release. I'm so excited!

The day after, the day after tomorrow means only one more week. It feels so surreal. We've waited six years, and are we finally within mere days of a new console Zelda. I can no longer hide my hype power level.

I think I've made it my goal to find the areas seen in the original reveal and the original gameplay footage from The Game Awards 2014. Luckily in the latter they show its map location on the GamePad screen, so that one shouldn't be as difficult.

I 100% won't be getting the switch and zelda on the release, and probably won't be getting it for at least a few months. However I do want to get all the benefits of the expansion pass so would it still work if I bought the expansion pack but didn't use it until I got the game a few months later?

No idea for certain. I believe on Wii U they tell you that you have to own the game to buy the DLC products... but I don't know if that prevents you from buying them and just not being able to use them until you have the disc. As for Switch, well, obviously no one knows a thing about how its eShop and DLC work yet. ![]()

Just about a week and a half left. Anyone else completely freaking out?!
Nope. I'm not making the same mistake I made with Overwatch. I'm just going to let the day come without obsessing over it.

Officially only one week away...

I don't believe there's any time limit to getting the season pass, or at least there is not any to my knowledge. What this means is that you could buy the season pass once both the DLC's have been released and you'll still get the little extra chests and stuff. I suspect that extra content is going to be hugely trivial though, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Not sure if you'll be able to buy it without owning the game, though I do know that doing so on other platforms is not unheard of. You'll probably be fine just waiting until you own the game to buy it, and even then you could probably also wait until we know exactly what these DLC's will include. That way if money is an issue, you could be a little more certain that this is something you want.

I wish I wasn't, but I am considering getting one or two Amiibos. Specifically the one with Link on the horse, though I'm gonna wait until I know for certain if the items that these unlock are unique or not. I would hate to give into that kind of stuff from Nintendo but I like swords and I want every sword, money and principles be damned.
The one with Link on the horse does look pretty sweet though, so that's one of those things I might just get to keep on my desk because who doesn't like having toys on your desk at the age of 26?
