So I wasn't the only one to think that! Well, I know at least one other person (I think it was Shane) also said so in chat, but the first time I saw it, I was like "That's totally a Pixar creature." I disagree on the "cute" though; I thought it was pretty ugly.

I'm up to the very very last boss fight during first play through and the games been pretty great, some things did drag on a bit but I liked the diversity in the dungeons as well as the puzzles they came up with

For everyone b****ing about the boss rush, I did it as soon as I fixed up the dragon so the Imprisoned was the final battle (and the shield was my prize). Then I had to half-do it again to get the heart piece -_-

Also, the ability to make a copy of your save file before overwriting it with hero mode would have been nice.

So am I the only one who things the shield is useless? I had it with me through the first three dungeons, but I never used it and ended up putting it in storage in favor of holding more bottles and heart medals.

I didn't think so either until i started using it more effectively. The shield really becomes more useful around the 4th dungeon as that's when those Bokoblin Archers start to appear. They're probably the most annoying enemy in the game.
In the whole game, the only item with somewhat broken controls is the bug catching net, too prone to glitching out and not completing the full sweep I'm trying to perform. Every other item worked as intended, even if aiming them required me to re-center the display every now and again. I also dislike the fact that you don't get the Hyrulian shield & the 2,000 rupees for beating the Boss Rush, you only get the 2,000 rupees which is rubbish!

Oh and the thing with Demise is that you are meant to fool him into thinking your going to attack from one direction then attack from the opposite direction. He moves his hand (Slight delay behind your motions) to "grab" your blade which is what you have to counter and is what the puzzle for his battle revolves around, at least for the first phase, 2nd phase he fights like a Stalfos. My favourite enemy in the game would have to be the 4 armed Stalfos miniboss, so much more fun and dangerous then the boss of the temple that featured this mini boss :/ On the plus side however, you can re-verse mini-bosses by revisiting temples so I can re-verse him as often as I want
Yeah, the shield is better than the rupees, but at least you can go do the bosses all over again and get the rupees pretty easily (I think it's 3,000 rupees for doing every boss too).
I thought swimming sucked, tbh. Slow as heck and hard to even aim where you're supposed to go. Plus they removed the Dash that you could do in TP when you're on the surface. We should've had the TP way of swimming, it was much better.
I never attempted to slash at Demise during the second phase as I thought you had to use the Skyward Strike to stun him beforehand as nothing would ever go through. That and his sword was electrified the entire time, so I'd rather not waste my health that way.

The problem with this is you have to be very quick to parry immediately after getting your hits in or else you WILL get hurt. I also like how he looked pretty much how Tekken final bosses look xD
The Boss Rush earns you 2,500 rupees for fully completing it during first playthough. Not sure if it changes during Hero Mode other then adding Demise to the roster as well as presumably Girahims final fight.

Funny thing was, I tried doing a Skyward Strike 2 or 3 times, thinking I'd get a lightning sword, but Link never held up the sword, so I figured only Demise could do that. So I beat him without using the lightning at all. Just get close, wait for him to attack, get a quick swipe in and backflip out of the way of his counter attack.
Also, here's a thought. The entrance to the arena you fight Demise in is the same place the triforce landed in the present. So is it possible that the place you fight him is actually the Sacred Realm?
