Not with Latios/Latias. Speed matters when you face them, oddly.
Yeah, just figured that out while trying to catch Latios. I had my Lv. 27 Hoothoot with to use Hypnosis on it to put it to sleep, and it fled before I got my turn... Kind of sucked, but I will get the little stinker sometime.

Don't worry. If you experience anything similar to what I have, you'll be seeing Latios so much you'll be sick of him. I swear, Latias stalks me across Kanto. And meanwhile, Raikou and Entei, the ones I really want, always end up on the opposite side of the map from me.

I'm not going to bother with Entei and Raikou anymore. I'm sick of them using Roar on me and I'm not going to throw and break my DSi XL because of it. So what I'm going to do is, trade Moltres and Articuno for Entei and Raikou on the GTS! icon_razz.gif Smart eh?

Nah, that's not violent. Violent would be pinning you up against the wall and shouting several of the Johto games' strong points and slapping you after naming each one. icon_deformed.gif

xD You are a funny man TS Lmao!

Next I plan to swap my Espeon for Togekiss. Probably because Togekiss knows Extrasensory, Air Slash, Aura Sphere and what I'm adding, Flamethrower. Do you think that's a good swap?

Sounds good to me. Just make sure you get a good IV spread for it. Mine has IVs leaning too much towards attack, which doesn't help it too much.

EVs*. IVs are Individual Values, which are determined as soon as you obtain the Pokemon and can't be changed. EVs are Effort Values, which are obtained when defeating other Pokemon (Example: Pidget = +1 Speed, Ghastly = +1 Sp. Attack, Bidoof = +1 HP) There are 255 (Or around there) EVs that can be obtained.

Or you could've meant him to breed Togepi's until he gets one with good IVs in which case I just made that explanation for nothing. Oh, well.

Yes, that's the case. Sorry you just had to explain all that for nothing.

Ugh, all this evolving is annoying. Today I began working with Chimchar, Mudkip, and Turtwig. I've got them each evolved to their second level, and once I get to them to around 23 I can finish off their training on Route 45... It's just getting to that level that's the problem with Monferno and Marshtomp. Not with Grotle; I just surf along Route 9 and use grass attacks on the Goldeen and Seaking that show up, then I can finish him up at Route 45. It's just, it'll take longer with the other two, because I can't find any Pokémon in the mid-to-high teens that they have a type advantage against. >_<

Ya, I know your pain. Here's the way I'm working on the Johto Pokedex:

A. Catch one form of the Pokemon.
B. Put it in the daycare for a while so it will level up.
C. Go catch more Pokemon.
D. When the one in the daycare is a high enough leveled for it to evolve, take it to Mt. Silver, give it the EXP share, and level it up so it will evolve.

That, and trading over as many from Emerald/Pearl/Platinum as possible. icon_heh.gif

I am so not against recommending playing the original Gold or Silver (or Crystal) if you haven't, because they're still simply that great. Albeit I think the remakes actually made it better (it's rare that I'll think that, so this is special), the originals are still excellent.

Gold/Silver were great, I even replaced the save battery in mine recently so I could play it again. The battery was completely dry.

Woops. icon_deformed.gif

Yeah, I agree that the originals are worth playing if you haven't done so. I put hours after hours into Silver and Crystal version. Silver because I loved it, and Crystal because my brother bought both Gold and Silver and decided that he wanted both so I had to buy my own version. The damn poop face.

I finally caught Raikou!

I was wondering around on Route 48, looking for a Miltank, when bam!, I ran into him. Threw a quick ball and got him! Finally!

I got the impossible to find even on the GTS Mew on my 'dex...also the Rayquaza thing done. Now if TS'll let me borrow his Arceus I can get more done icon_wink.gif. I also need to borrow someone's Celebi for the Ilex Forest time travel event, although Celebi and Jirachi are on my 'dex as well.
