Cease drawing chins like that right away. Speaking as someone who used to draw like that, it looks really awkward and completely unnatural. No one's nose directly connects to their chin like that. Instead, find some silhouettes and learn where to indent. You'll be glad you did, as this method of drawing chins is also incredibly restrictive when it comes to from what angle you can draw a person from.

Working on some maps for Inferno, and I think this turned out pretty nicely. It's not completely done yet, and none of the names are final either, but whatever. Along with other smaller villages or outposts, caves and more ruins and so on, I have also yet to add roads (many of which would get their own names too, of course), so what you see here really is a bare-bones version of what it is supposed to be.
Edit:
Newer version.
Lose the North symbol, or replace it with a fun ornate compass.
Also, how are you doing the text? Are you warping it once it's been written or having it follow a path? If it's the former, you should consider using the later approach. That way, the letters won't be differing sizes (such as the T and N on The Aedin), which looks a bit awkward right now.
To do that, just grab the handy dandy pen tool, make a curve that corresponds to what you want the letters to follow, and hover the text cursor over it. Should let you type right onto it. This is, of course, assuming you're using Photoshop. If not there's probably similar methods out there.

Steampunk Link pencil lineart. The scanner ate half the lines, too. Also, this is old-ish.
Steampunk Link has very small legs. This is also really conservative for a "steampunk" drawing. Go all in, sir. Make the sword have exhaust pipes on it, give Link some goggles, or at least a waist coat.

Probably the best thing I've seen posted here since Mr.Pimpy left. Maybe it's cause I have a soft spot for water color, but you did a really nice job with the dynamic shadows on this. Kudos.
