If anyone complains that this is a spoiler (given that it's pretty common knowledge to anyone who kept up with all the trailers and info about skyward sword pre-release) I'm gonna set some kittens on fire, but anyways:
The birth of the Master Sword was the most glorious thing I have ever witnessed, or will witness in this lifetime. ;_;

Wow, looking at people's reactions here one could think that this game is the best thing ever. But I've gone through the 3 first dungeons and I am not impressed yet. I guess the really awesome stuff is still ahead, RIGHT?
In all honesty, I was disappointed overall with Skyward Sword. Not that it isn't a good game, just they really didn't do much with all that they had to work with, with this being an OoT prequel and all. Dungeon design in SS also felt very lacking to me, it didn't really seem much like the great dungeons we got in TP and OoT.
I'd go on, but I'd probably get slapped if I say any more of the things I was disappointed with without a spoiler tag. Once someone here completes the game, I'll probably post everything in a spoiler tag that I was disappointed with.
For anyone who is having an issue with a certain enemy in the third area, I have a tip for it too..

Well, this is where we start getting into opinions.
I finished the game just now, myself.

I was wrong about the Beetle item, it's only the aiming that requires you to recalibrate the controls, the actual flight controls don't require any calibration at all (Aside from the initial one when starting the game). It actually controls fairly well once you get used to it and is an awesome tool for scouting around the overworld etc.
Still hate the Bug Catching Net though but am very gradually getting used to the idea that you have to swing it sloooowly and that it frequently spazzes out (Or moves at a different pace) when swinging it the wrong way.
@Koh, mentioning that you upgraded an item might not be a spoiler, unless you mention what the upgraded item does.
Edit: After having beaten Twilight Princess and had the initial excitement wore off, I find that that games dungeon items, dungeon designs and overworld designs extremely bad in comparison to pretty much every other 3D Zelda (It has better overworld then Ocarina of time, woot I guess?) game while SS has so far featured excellent items and makes extensive use of most of them throughout the game, item use isn't largely restricted to the dungeon you found it in in SS which is fantastic it also has excellent overworld/dungeon designs and fantastic music, story, dialogs, inventory system and item variety (Upgrade system is aww yeah).

Its fighting
Well and another thing, I beat the game!! The ending was pretty good, I enjoyed the game throughly, except the
Okay well enough of me ranting on, Review time!!
Story 9.5/10
The story was pretty good, you know the almost the same, thing as the other Zelda games, Link you must save zelda, Blah blah blah...etc, etc, etc,
Gameplay 8/10
Well its alright...but i hate having to back track to areas too much, i mean the game only has
and the side quest are alright but they all seem like fetch quest to me...Which in my case, is kinda tiresome. but it was fun in sort increments, though, I would really recommend, do take your time and do the side quest slowly
Controls 9.5/10
You have to hand it to Nintendo, they know what they are doing with controls, I like all the controls, of the game except, the Swimming controls...I really think they could've just made them less annoying, Other then that They are great.
Graphics 9.5/10
Well you know the wii, can't pump out great graphics like the, Xbox360 or the ps3, but hey, the wii done a good job handling the graphics of this game. the graphics are the best yet on the wii, I've seen.
And I love the style of graphics in this game, Its like if, Wind waker, and Twilight princess. got hooked up and had babys
Final thoughts...
I kinda wish this game had a lot more dungeons, and a lot more areas to visit instead of,
Overall score!! Duh duh don DA!!! 9.8/10
I really like this game, I would like to say this do not pass up the, last greatest Wii game ever, go buy it now!!
Thanks for reading!~

Still, the length of the game is pretty good. I think I finished around 28 hours into the game (focusing pretty much only on the main story), so it's a pretty long game. I will admit that I would have preferred that they shave off some of those fetch quests and maybe added in a few extra dungeons instead, though.
In the end, I do have to say that the game if pretty balanced as far as what you spend your time with. There's typically not too much of one thing to get bored of it. Even having a Zelda game where there's 20 dungeons and no overworld would get old, so in the end it worked out.

It seems they fixed the problem with Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy 2's controls that make me cringe frequently whenever I play them. When you suddenly change what direction you choose to move in, the games sometimes would make your character continue walking in the direction you initially pressed and ignore the fact that you suddenly changed the direction your pushing the analog stick in. It affects lots of Nintendo's games ranging from Ocarina of time through to Wind Waker but all of these games would "Rectify" the situation automatically in less then a second. Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy 2 lacked the auto-correction mechanism. I believe the problem is a result of both you changing the direction your pushing in suddenly as well as sudden camera angle changes or you changing directions suddenly in relation to specific camera angles.
(There's a perfectly valid reason for why they disabled the auto-correct feature in both those games though)
