I believe he's trying to do a no continue/dying run, in which case a one-way shutter could trap you if you don't have any bombs to get back through a bombable wall.

Ah, right, ... the "No-Continue" thing wallumped me. ... ... Wait, so, like, are you doing it all in one sitting, or what? Actual NES? TLOZ ROM on the PC or Wiiware?

EDIT: Also, I just saw on Facebook a "Can we keep the lines even?" poll, where people should keep the votes as close as possible so it'll form the same number of lines that are the same length. I found it particularly cute / clever / creative.

Yesterday my Biology teacher was explaining how to do one of our assignments, and uh, I think I'll just quote him word for word:
"So if you think that number one goes with G, then you just take the number one and put it in the G spot."
It took him a while, but once he realized what he had just said he was laughing harder than the students.

Also, I bought a somewhat working NES off this guy a few weeks back. It needed a new pin connector, so I ordered one. The other day I replaced the old one, and since then it's been working perfectly. All I can say is that I felt really satisfied with myself. Makes me sad that you can't just open up your XBOX or Wii and pop in a new piece without voiding the warranty.

I've got a better story than that :B I bought an NES for $2 a bit over a month ago, with a claim that I could use it for spare parts but nothing more, there was no way it would ever work again. And yesterday, I just beat Mega Man for the first time on it. And the hardest part of fixing it? Finding a f***ing screwdriver.

Also Shads I NEED YOU in chat or something~

I finished Ghost Trick today. That was basically my entire Saturday after getting home from work.

The story was very well done, and the game itself was really fun. The last few chapters just blew my mind. Did not see any of that coming.

Anyone who played it will probably get this:
Spoiler

So, anybody else play this one?

I just got a project in Latin class that requires each student to write and read aloud at least 25 lines of Latin. The original formats for the project were movie, skit, and children's book, but I talked to the teacher about it and he agreed to let me make a ZC quest.

You are me hero. Go. Create ZC in Latin. For great justice.

That's pretty sweet. I wish that Latin was still a course in Canadian high schools...

Make sure you post it here, I want to try and see if I'll be able to read it. And after three years of Latin, I should be able to.

Although I'm surprised he makes you read Latin around. It's a dead language, meant to be read, not spoken icon_unsettled.gif

Well, I got my history project today. It pretty much destroyed any hope of there being enough time to make something this elaborate right now.

I might make it for fun once these projects clear up, though.

Wait a minute, can't you just translate LoZ 1st Quest to Latin? It's not "elaborate", there's only like two dozen or so strings, and to show the effort you could compare each Guy Cave/Dungeon room screenshot with the original versus your translation, and that would be how you're graded.

I mean it'd be cool to do a full-fledged Quest, but yeah if there's other time constraints that force you to compromise, second best isn't terrible!

Well, the most time-consuming aspect is to buy and set up a microphone or something to record my voice, which I need to do in order to meet the requirement of reading it aloud.

My heart. I have a pacemaker, and I grew so much, the leads from my heart to it got loose, and I need new ones icon_razz.gif
