Gate 3 you need to have the power off to get over to where the gate 3 switch is in the middle of F1 to turn off the laser that blocks it. Then turn power back on, then go past the now defunct laser and turn off gate 3.
Gate 4 is on the way to the HC Piece out on the western bluff just outside Plague Fortress. As you're heading out that way, you'll come across a room with two steaming mad armos in the upper right that are seemingly trapped for no good reason. Flame rod them and it'll activate the defunct panel inbetween them and let you move northward to the gate 4 switch.

I'm completely stuck here, what am I supposed to do? I tried using the wand on every mirror I could from every angle, with and without the switch on. I even tried activating the switch on both the red block and blue block DMAPS.

So what do I do?

Go to the green spinning something on the right, between armoses. Use sword and arrow on it to keep changing the mirrors. One sword, one arrow, one sword, one arrow... etc. Until the mirrors are in good direction.

Ah, I didn't think to use arrows because I tried them before the sword and it didn't work, thanks.

Is there a compass and map of level 3, if so where are they, I have already found the ladder, and I believe the chest where the bos key is in the basement, need a key. Great game...

Well, I did not die a single time in level 2. It was actually easier than level 1 due to there being more slashable combos for hearts. It was however, very annoying. Having to walk under stuff, unable to see link or the enemies is not fun at all. And solving puzzles to get to a chest, only to find it contains a normal item wasn't pleasant either. Regrowing plants on the boss made it another pushover, but at least the fight was fun.

But the idea at least was solid. When I wasn't finding chests with normal items and going under roofs it was actually fun. But those 2 things covered a LOT of the level and overall I did not like it. Don't think it alone is enough to keep me from replaying the quest though.

Edit - Finished the nightmare level. It was quite fun, and actually a mild challenge. I loved how those dream guys from link's awakening made a cameo, albiet as stalfos 3's with less health.

LOST ISLE FOR MAC? Awesome! icon_thumbsup.gif

FredFlinstone, the map is on the second floor (you have to step onto a button to make a chest appear in the main hall with little floor). The compass really close to the entrance.

Anarchy_Balsac: Lost Isle feeling too easy for you? Well you must be a very skillful player then. But I can almost guarantee that Lv3 and Lv4 will give you a decent challenge... both battle wise and puzzle wise.
Level 2 of LI is my personal favorite level, but for some reason people like Levels 3 and 4 more. But I guess that's how it should go. The further you get, the better the game gets. icon_smile.gif

Yeah, you know it's funny, but if gleeok had emphasized 4 ups(like he should have) instead of 3 I'd have done in his "impossible" dungeon by now instead of shutting it off in the money or life room. Unfortunately I have little time to play as of late, but so it goes. I'm sure later levels will be harder though, but at the rate things are going it'll be a while till I get through even level 3.

Hi Darkflame I'm stuck at level 1, here is where.
If I try to go out the dungeon, I don't know where I lose the key I have.
The room I can't pass is at level B2, there is a statue which hits bombs when you are in front of it and a closed door at right.

Thanks for your help

stay in front of the statue while its eye is open and shoot arrows at it. If it closes its eye at any time, the damage done is resetted and you got to try again.
Keys are dungeon specific, so of course you'd 'lose' it once you stepped out of the dungeon. But would regain it again once stepping back in.

No questions so far but one thing, I'm going for the hero status and right now I just finished the part of the game before level three. And in the manual it said you should have 10 hearts and 1 piece, but I have 10 and 2 pieces. So is the hero status just a good amount you can get before the levels or the max?

Also, this is making me change my mind about my favorite quest. I find it so amazing how you make it so much about exploring and not just level -> triforce -> go to next level and repeat. The overworld and dungeons and cave system is all so amazingly done I'm never bored. But before I officially change my favorite quest status I'll have to finish it but so far it's a great quest!
