despite this is so called "dreams of yesterday..." it may become a today nightmare to any player icon_lol.gif

Hey, kaspauf! icon_biggrin.gif I have no idea what your username means, but it's always great to see it! icon_kawaii.gif icon_blah.gif Yeah, there's been plenty of neat changes. Within the past month, (Probably the past week, actually.) I did a lot of graphical work on the things we constantly see. I revised the appearance of the rupees and the subscreen. Good luck with the finality of your courses.

vravelo - Did you seriously start with the Golden Tunic? So you take much less damage? Hey, I'm happy for you. I didn't encounter that when I just started a new game. Must've been a fluke. But hey, I remember way back in the day, like, maybe six or seven years ago, (Holy crap! Wow!) when I was playing in Kanavas, and I collected a clock, and then it wore off, but I was still invincible until I saved. Oh god how I abused that thing.

I would consider replaying this if enough things are updated/changed. I'll keep following the thread for updates and info.

It'll probably be easier. When the meat is fully coded and functional, there will be more ways to heal. "Animal" like monsters will drop it occasionally, and will stack to 10, healing 3 hearts each. There are now four levels of potions, and a Magic Shield that can't be eaten by Like Likes. Additional dungeons will grant items to help manage healing and attack abilities. Eventually, the slash can be learned, and other sword techniques will be learned as a result I also might add more sound effects to the game, as well as give players the choice of acquiring a downloadable MP3 soundtrack. (Likely not in one zip file. No track will be larger than 3 MB, hopefully.)

Finally making some progress. Gold mail helps sooooooo much to tank stuff.

L5 missing boss key. Not sure where to find that.

L4 boss was like "WTF?!?!" Bring in some extra armor to make the battle manageable.
L6 was quite the puzzle maze to figure out. Had to write down all sorts of hints to figure stuff out. The floor panels were a pain, couldn't really figure out the patterns to them.

I assume you get enough relic stones to fully explore every passage in the ruins.

Making a small list of little errors when playing to see if they can get corrected in future updates.

1) Good job getting the Gold Mail. There's actually a way to get it very early in the game. You only need a total of 5 Relic Stones to get it. You only need 2 to get the Fire Boomerang. I did describe it somewhere in this thread.

2) The "levels" in this quest actually aren't linear; thus, there's no such thing as 'L4" or "L6" and so on. It's just the names of locations. Goron's Nightmare, The Devouring Forest, Blester, etc.

3) Probably enough relics, yes. There are too many to count, but I don't have a very simple method of counting to use.

4) Take a screenshot with F12 whenever you see one. A screenshot is worth soooo many words. You can upload them to photobucket.com. I'm not the best when it comes to just going on words alone. I tend to get annoying with my requests for specificity, but I am of course more than happy to fix the bug. Again, screenshots are pure win.

1. Yeah, stumbled into that. Had to get hit by some enemies just to see if I got a defense boost. L3 boomerang looks awesome here (shrapnel, ninja dart, etc). Already has saved by behind quite a few times

2. Blester had an SOB boss. The room layout didn't help any. Enigma Castle was annoying with all the restarting from failing the gray floor pattern puzzles, but luckily life wasn't much of an issue. Predator's Body I can't find the boss key. Got everything else in there.

3. Some paths are pretty useless, although still haven't reached the lower half of B2 yet

4. I'll see if I can reproduce the minor issues to take pictures. Some just end up with me doing F6-Continue, others may be level design related.

You can burn the floor in Blester's boss room. I added the ability to burn the ice in most of Blester Tower's rooms. The boss key in the Devourer (Megalodon I think, he's called.) is actually found by diving in one of the upper-right most rooms in the Predator Body, in the same room as a key that appears in the lower-right of the screen after you kill all the jumping Vire enemies.

Remember a fierce battle at Capitol port" , I saw a yellow thing on the floor, indeed I picked it up ! but nothing seems to happens

Nice. I really don't remember that being there, but whatever. It still says there's only one in the game, so, whatever.

Dang, better be enemies that drop gold 200 rupees frequently to fill up that type of wallet.

Not sure if the front gate of Enigma Castle is supposed to open or not.

Also, not sure if there is some sort of boots for the damage puddles in Swamp Cave. And what's with the cave in the swamp with the STOP signs? Maybe that's later on if it's even relevant.

There will be three levels of wallets in DoY2012/2013. I already listed them above, but enemies will be dropping rupees a lot more. It won't be too challenging to fill them. I mostly wanted to avoid having the wallet constantly full with nothing to buy. I always hated that. icon_razz.gif

Oh it is. It leads to an amazing battle. It made my jaw drop. It's rivaled only by the battles in Sabotage Dragoon, by the same quest author.

Yes, that's an area that will be worked on much later. One area at a time, I suppose.

Hell, give me ideas for a nightmare or cave for that area. icon_smile.gif I'll be glad to listen to 'em.

Hmm, loaded up my DOY file today only to find NO background music at all. Sound effects seem to still be in there. I get no background music with other custom quests as well. Using ZC 2.50 RC4

Any idea why the missing background music all of a sudden (was working fine the day before)? And what can I try to fix this problem?

I did actually rename all of the midi information in the quest so as to better be able to identify from where each track originates, but that wouldn't have any effect on anything. The Dmaps still identify the music correctly based on track ID, not track name.

I wonder if there's a hotkey for sound that was easily missed somehow. In your ZC settings menu when you hit escape in-game, (Settings -> Sound) is everything more toward the right?
