looking at your screenshots again . . . (should've looked more closely sooner, sorry!) it looks like you already have the path to the spirit flame unlocked. Just go left from the big pillar during the morning and you should find it.

I doubt that it is because of the version, you got to make sure the tiles are all the right color, hit the switch, then step on the floor tiles in the right order, (when you step on them, make sure you step on them, their hitboxes are somewhat small)

in this video at 36:30 the developer does this puzzle if you need more help.

I keep stepping on them after hitting the switch but it's still not working. This puzzle is bugged

You might need to step on the reset tile on the top right if you've attempted and failed it before.

I did not fail it, I did like it's shown in the video, in the correct colors, and walked in the correct order, still not working!!
I'm answering on mobile, sorry.

you need to step on the reset button (to the right of the sign) for the puzzle to reset properly before attempting it again.

 

keep in mind that the hitboxes on the tiles are on the bottom half so stepping on the top part of them won't register as stepping on them. regretfully the way I set it up makes it hard to tell if you're pressing them on the final part . . .

 

If you still can't solve the puzzle maybe try sending a video? If there's something wrong with the puzzle I'd like to fix it.

I don't know if this matters, but you stepped on the top right tile before the bottom right.

if you still can't do it, then you can cheat a key in by using cheat code lv 4 which is: For Breakfast

and you can set your keys to one more on level 4.
