I played a demo of this quest back in 2021, I think, and it was fun but had issues like you would expect from an early demo. I just found out that the quest was completed last week when it was posted to the front page, and am having a blast so far. All the stuff I liked about Mayath Island: Remastered is in full effect here, but the downsides of MI:R seemed to be cleaned up quite a lot and there's a lot of new, imaginative content that is keeping me engaged. Hopefully there isn't a Deku leaf and associated jumping obstacles in this new quest.
Regarding the jumping bugs I saw mentioned on page 2 of this thread, I've found that
Of course, after transitioning to the new screen, if you happen to land in deep water, the character sprite will appear to go through the swimming motions on the spawn point, but sink if you try to move to any adjacent water tile. If you happen to do this without having the flippers, you are forced to F6-continue. I looked for sequence-breaking opportunities involving this trick, but didn't really find any; however, I have found a number of screens in both overworlds where this trick can get the player stuck and force an F6 continue. Maybe some strategically-placed rocks or something on these screens can prevent the player being able to cross the water and achieve a screen transition or access a cave entrance.
