Well you said "all this speculation" when you were apparently referring to specific speculations? No, I didn't know what you meant. Otherwise I wouldn't have responded that way. :P

With the open world concept, while the idea that I might wander the countryside and stumble across a dungeon sounds fantastic, I would hope that you wouldn't then get halfway into that dungeon and find out you need the hookshot, which you get from another dungeon. As long as the game doesn't do that then I think the open world concept will work beautifully. I also wonder about things like Heart Containers though. Will it be traditional in that sense, or is something akin to an XP system going to be introduced? So many questions. I love it!

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a Twilight Princess remake. The graphics have aged pretty badly and could use a remake. While Nintendo confirmed remakes aren't their priority until a new piece of technology comes into play, they did shout out they have a desire to make a Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword HD, but another company may remake either.

But Zelda U > Wind Waker > Skyward Sword > Twilight Princess in terms of visuals IMO.

No more remakes please.... we've had 2 already just on the 3DS and WII U... 2 and a half if you really consider how much ALBW reused.

Seriously though, I think TP's graphics are fine. You word it like they're as bad as Z1 or OoT 64.

I'll take that scenario over the Rental Shop still. Anyway, it's not hard to make a nonlinear game with items. Just make different ways you can do a dungeon depending on the gear you have.  Metroid Zero Mission did stuff like that where you could skip main items.. Don't have a Hookshot? There's a Bombable wall! No Bombs? Well then, there's a path you can make it over if you walk carefully that leads to a ladder that reaches there as well.

They kinda have aged poorly though and can be considered with Z1 and OoT graphics. They are good, but they present a lot of visual jarring problems. And not to mention, the graphics feel uninspired if you put it up against the more cartoony Zelda graphics. And no, I'm not making excuses for a remake. I don't expect to see anymore for a while. But of course, this is an opinion and you should take it with a grain of salt if you disagree; like how I took your opinion on cartoony graphics with a grain of salt. :)

I can't wait to see how gameplay works.

You're really just starting to grasp for straws.

I don't think it means anything ... Again it probably means nothing but I like poking things. :heh:

No I'm not, I'm trying to see if others would bite on it. :blah:

... shit. No wonder I thought I felt a Miyazaki-ish vibe for some reason.

Honestly, I feel all of it was kind of filled with Miyazaki-ish stuff.  Ignoring the slow-mo effects, that chase scene felt pretty dang close to some stuff you'd see in a Miyazaki movie.  I consider that a good thing. :P

Well as long as they only stick to taking visual cues from Miyazaki, we're golden. :P

If it isn't Link, indeed we have to take into account that we don't know for sure if this is the protagonist as in the guy we are playing. For all we know, he could be an important character in the game similar to Sheik, for example. I can not imagine this person being a female, and no, it's not the flatness that makes me believe so.

Not sure what to make of this, if this was actually gameplay filmed from a different angle or if that's just his way of saying it ran on the game's actual engine. Personally I think it's the latter based on earlier comments from another source and the fact that I highly doubt there'll be a button for "throw off cloak." Dunno. We'll see.

I'm wondering if maybe there's a mix of both?  Maybe Link and Epona running away from that mechanical octopus thing was gameplay, but that whole jumping attack thing and throwing off the cloak was a staged part using the game engine?

Or... y'know.  Translation error.

I'm going to take it he meant it was made in the game engine too, not actual gameplay.

It might be actual gameplay, just with a Mario Kart-esque replay cameras.
