Cough cough my birthday thread
I feel your pain man!
If I get a dollar for every time I get peer pressured to drink, I'd be a millionaire.

The following is something that happens to me a lot sadly at home, not sure if anyone else had similar experiences. That is when someone gives you a vague/non-specific request, and you ask them to be more specific and they get angry at you. And they get angry if you do the request wrong anyway! No, screw you, I shouldn't even put myself through that if you're going to be snappy about me wanting to help you. That's just stupid and childish.
Just an example:
"Can you move this?"
"Where to?"
"I haven't got all day! Move it!"
"OK..."
"No not there! Over there!"

My step-dad does this a lot, actually. Makes me feel like a dingus.

When someone complains about the crap a game company is doing but not only keeps buying from them, they buy the exact game they were complaining about. Bonus points if they also buy the DLC and/or microtransactions.

I know one thing that irritates me, it's when racists go and defend something like this:
http://dailycaller.c...stice-retreats/
There's no excuse for that, no matter your opinion of their intentions. My wife even wanted to go to Oregon and talk sense in to these people, after she witnessed the fall of Apartheid in Africa, see people trying to bring it, and defend those who do didn't exactly make her happy.

As one person said in the comments of that article...
"Every white kid that hits college should write african American in the liberals bigot boxes then demand to be called brotha. When someone doesn't say brotha with just the right ghetto inflection they should throw a fit and scream micro aggresion and demand a safe place be provided in the african American living facility."
Anyways, I hate when people attempt to talk stupidly and act dumb in an attempt to "empathize" and "be friends with" me. If I wanted to be your friend, asshole, I would've probably not called you a "fucking doucebag" the last time you tried this!

People using the phrase "you are just being nitpicky" when they try to dismiss an argument. It's frustrating when you are having an argument with someone and they use this phrase to try to shut down your argument without saying how are we being nitpicky.

Not sure if I stated this before but people that use terms that you pretty much have to look up an urban dictionary to figure out what they hell they're saying. And when you ask them, they laugh at you and mock you, yet don't really know what something means. I got in trouble once in a mock interview thinking a phrase meant "slacking off" when it had a much more offensive meaning. One that in a real interview would guarantee NOT getting a job.
Let's not forget people that when they lose at a game, they blame their lack of skill on you cheating, lag, problems with their controllers, etc. I remember my cousin and I got into it over Pokemon as a kid when he thought I used a Game Shark to teach Meganium the move Earthquake (something it can legitimately be taught) and on another occasion, having a Slowbro with Fire Blast. Don't believe me on Slowbro? Look it up; it CAN be taught Fire Blast for some weird reason!
Lastly, those people that claim they could do something faster or better than someone else, when what they say clearly proves they don't know what they're talking about.

Similarly, people who talk in meme speak, or spout random memes for no real reason other than a failed attempt at being funny. It's especially cringe-worthy when people actually spout memes out of their mouth in person as opposed to online. Can we please just talk like humans??

That's annoying, but it's also lame when people suck at a game, and blame their ineptitude on the game itself, and claim the game has problems, when they just lack the patience and skill it takes to be halfway decent. Not cool, mate.

On a different subject, I hate it when people use the excuse, "It's just a game/movie/book/other form of storytelling. It's not real.". What does that even mean?? Am I not supposed to be invested in a good story? Is it not the writer's intention to invoke a certain emotional response from their audience? I'm pretty sure if a story doesn't make you feel in some way, or give you some kind of enlightenment, it's not a well-written story. And just because a character in a story isn't real doesn't mean we can't cry when we see that character go. When you invest yourself into a story, it's characters become a second family to you. You want to see them succeed, and you feel bad when they don't. It's human nature. Stop trying to be edgy, and undermining people's passions.
