NJF Plays The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past [100% Run] (03 - Desert Palace)

Description:

 

After obtaining the Pendant of Courage, Link brings it to the old man living near Eastern Palace who's name is Sahasrahla, the man he was looking for. Sahasrahla explains to Link the legend of the Master Sword and how he needs all 3 pendants to pull the sword. He also gives Link the location of the other two pendants and the Pegasus Boots. With the Pegasus Boots, Link obtains The Book of Mudora located in Karkariko Village, a book needed to enter The Desert Temple. Now with the ability to read the ancient language of the Hylia, Link is able to enter the desert temple through prayer. Link is able to get through the Desert Palace, defeat Lanmola and earn the Pendant of Power. Now with two pendants, Link heads for Zora's Domain to learn how to swim.

Description:

 

Finding Zora's Domain, Link contacts the boss of the Zora to buy the flippers to allow him to swim, but it doesn't come cheap. After spending a heavy 500 rupees for the flippers, Link is now able to swim using the flippers. He takes this opportunity to upgrade his gear and obtain new items before climbing Death Mountain to the Tower of Hera. Once inside the Tower of Hera, Link climbs the floors inside to reach Moldorm, while collecting the Moon Pearl along the way. Link defeats Moldorm to earn the Pendant of Wisdom.

• Bought Zora Flippers for 500 rupees.
• Upgraded Boomerang to Magical Boomerang.
• Upgraded Shield to defend against fireballs. 
• Upgraded Arrow capacity to 35. 
• Upgraded Bomb capacity to 15.

Description:

 

Now with all 3 pendants, Link heads to Lost Woods to pull the Master Sword out of its pedestal. After getting the Master Sword. Zelda sends him a telepathic message saying that the wizard Aghanim has found her. Link heads to Hyrule Castle Tower where Aghanim keeps himself to confront him once and for all. Link witnesses Aghanim send Zelda into the Dark World and completes his goal of opening the gate between the Light and Dark Worlds, but only partially. Link fights Aghanim and wins, but not before Aghanim pulls Link into the Dark World with him. Now in the Dark World, the Evil Realm. Link must free all the maidens, including Zelda, and free them from their crystal prisons so he can stop Aghanim's plans. Link decides to begin with the Dark Palace.

NJF Plays The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past [100% Run] (06 - Dark Palace)

Description:

 

Link takes on an unwanted follower who asks him for money, but turns out to be useful as he can open the Dark Palace for Link, at a price however. Once inside, Link finds himself in the labyrinth like Dark Palace, obtains the Magic Hammer, and uses it to defeat Helmasaur King. Deeper into the Dark World, Link finds the Flute playing boy who was warped into the Dark World. He gives Link a shovel so he can try and find his flute in the Light World. Link takes the flute to the boy's father and who tells his father subtly about his son's fate. Link takes the flute to the statue in the center of Karkariko Village and plays it to reveal a bird that will allow Link to quickly travel around the world. 

 

Highlights:

• Pays Kiki the monkey to enter the Dark Palace.
• Obtains Magic Hammer. 
• Defeats Helmasaur King. 
• Obtains Flute and awakens bird.

NJF Plays The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past [100% Run] (07 - Gargoyle's Domain)

Description:

 

Now holding the flute, Link is now able to quick travel around the world. Link's adventure takes him to thieves town where he enters Gargoyle's Domain. Inside he gets the Golden Gauntlets and meets a suspicious girl who turns out to be Blind the Thief, the boss of this domain and the boss of Thieves Town. He obtains the crystal and frees the maiden within.

 

Highlights:

• Upgraded Bomb capacity to 20.
• Upgraded Arrow capacity to 50. 
• Entered Gargoyle's Domain.
• Obtained the Golden Gauntlets.
• Defeated Blind the Thief and completed Gargoyle's Domain.
• Obtains the next crystal and frees the Maiden within.

Description:

 

After completing a few errands in Karkariko Village, Link heads to the Swamp Temple which is located in the Swamp on the southern end of Dark World. Link is able to find the Hookshot and use it to defeat Arrghus and save the maiden within.

• Received 1/2 consumption Magic Bar.
• Upgraded Master Sword to Red Tempered Master Sword.
• Received 4th Empty Bottle. 
• Entered Swamp Palace.
• Obtained Hookshot.

Description:

 

Link heads to Lost Woods to use the transporter that leads him to Skull Woods. There is another crystal maiden trapped within Skull Woods. In Skull Woods, Link obtains the Fire Rod and uses it to defeat Mothula and save the maiden within the crystal.

After completing Skull Forest, Link went treasure hunting throughout The Dark World. Obtaining Magic Cape, Quake Medallion, Ether Medallion, and Bombos Medallion. Finally, Link heads to Lake Hylia so he can take a portal leading to the Ice Palace within Dark World.

Exploring through the Ice Palace, Links obtains the Blue Mail which increases his defense power which will provide useful to defend against Kholdstare's attack power. After defeating Kholdstare and earning another crystal, Link

Description:

 

After completing Ice Palace, Link returns to the Light World on the island in the center of Lake Hylia. In here he maxes out his bomb capacity to the fullest. Afterwords he completes a few more errands in the Dark World before entering Misery Mire. Inside Misery Mire, Link obtains the Cane of Somaria which will be helpful later in his journey. In the end of Misery Mire, Link fights Vitreous and obtains another crystal.

• Maxes out Bomb capacity to 50. 
• Enters Misery Mire.
• Obtains Cane of Somaria.

After completing Misery Mire, Link heads to the Pyramid of Power using the Super Bomb to meet the Fat Fairy and upgrade his sword and arrows to more powerful and ultimate versions.

Description:

 

Turtle Rock is the location of the final crystal. The crystal that holds Princess Zelda herself. Link explores the depths of Turtle Rock and finds the Mirror Shield. What a beautiful shield this is. lol 

 

Deep inside Turtle Rock Link faces Trinexx, a rock turtle type creature with a fire snake and an ice snake growing out of its back. Once the outer shell is destroyed, it is revealed that Trinexx himself is actually a rock like Snake living inside a turtle's shell. Once Trinexx is destroyed once and for all, Link speaks to Zelda who is the final maiden Link had to free. Zelda and all the other Maidens will help Link enter Ganon's Castle.

• Defeats Trinexx.
• Obtains Final Crystal.
• Speaks to Princess Zelda one last time.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past [100% Run] (15 - Ganon's Castle)

Description:

 

Zelda and the maidens help Link enter Ganon's Castle. Once Link enters the castle, he heads to the basement to find the big key that he will need to reach the tower of the castle. While in the basement, Link fights the Armos Knights again and earns the big key which also allows him to get the red mail in the big chest. Now able to climb the tower, Link fights Lanmola and Moldorm one more time before fighting Aghanim for the final time. Aghanim defeated, Ganon emerges from Agahnim's lifeless body and transforms into a giant bat and flies to the Pyramid of Power.

• Defeats Armos Knights again.
• Obtains Red Mail.
• Defeats Lanmola again.
• Defeats Moldorm again.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past [100% Run] (16 - Final Battle)

Description:

 

It's now time to fight Ganon, but before the fight, Link prepares for the fight by becoming fully equipped in every possible way. Link is now much more than capable to take out Ganon. After a quick battle, Ganon is taken down, and Hyrule is saved. The ending and credits follow, and the game ends with a 100% completion rate. But I've continued twice because I didn't play through this in one single run, and I didn't bother to use save state. 

 

Highlights:

• Gets 100% Completion.
• Defeats Ganon and completes the game.

NJF Plays The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (14 - Bottom of the Well)

Description:

 

With the issue from the last video fixed, we are able to continue this stream. The journey continues with Link entering the bottom of the well. After lowering the water in the well, he fights Dead Hand to retrieve the Lens of Truth. Link can now leave the Well to head to the Shadow Temple, but instead does a few more things within the Well before leaving.

 

Joined by oldschoolgamerjim as side commentary. Sorry about the sound quality.
